Page 21: Crossing the Streams: Trialing and Investigating New Format Resources

Review Holdings

Questions to Consider:1) Does the subject collection offer a diversity of format options? 2) How many streaming/hosting platforms do we want to integrate?3) What are cost-efficient ways for us to add collection items to fill

format gaps?

Page 22: Crossing the Streams: Trialing and Investigating New Format Resources

Engage Selectors and Stakeholders

• Use SAGs to hone in on where new format content would be appreciated

• Use questions to ascertain when it is better to buy a resource, and when it is better to buy a tool/software

• Review discoverability. Talk with Discovery and Web Services to see how new formats are emerged by users

• Start format-based inventory list
