2” Raised Roof – 70% roof heat extraction rate

4” Raised Roof – 90% roof heat extraction rate

Complete Building Envelope – 40% reduction in the HVAC equipment size coupled with 90% roof heat extraction rate

Integrated Solar Panels – Enhanced solar panel performance with stabilized efficiencies via direct cooling

Radiant Heating and Cooling – Conditioned spaces cooled and heated via PEX tubing in the ceiling and floors delivered from via integrated solar thermal system

Hot Water Deliver System – Solar thermal system with sufficient capacity to handle daily requirements with integrated hot-water recirculation system

Agricultural Production

Cooling Cows, Chickens, and Hay Storage

CBS has three areas to complete testing first increased milk production

with respect to the effective cooling of cows in their outdoor shade

structures and during the milking process.

CBS also plans to verify the cooling load reduction of the dairy

processing and storage facilities to enhance overall financials of these

projects.

The second area for evaluation involves cooling poultry sheds in an

effort to decreasing poultry mortality rates and increase production.

The third area involves testing the CBS design in reducing fire hazard

related to hay storage structures and the associated insurance rate

reduction benefits.
