Software: Interaction of Objects and OperationsSoftware is created from the interaction of objects and operations, the most fundamental elements of all

programming languages. This dynamics of objects and operations originates in the self-referral dynamics ofthe Unified Field of pure intelligence, where intelligence takes on the role of both object and operation byoperating on itself to create the entire diversity of Natural Law. This interaction of intelligence with itself findsexpression in computer software as the interaction of objects and operations at the various levels of organizationin computer programs. As shown in the Unified Field Chart, software hierarchically combines the most simplerepresentation of objects and operations to form successively larger programs, finally leading to softwareengineering which provides a set of tools and methods to easily create computer programs.

HardwareComputer hardware is created from knowledge of electronics, which is based on the interaction of charged

particles, such as electrons, with the electromagnetic field. According to Quantum Field Theory, electrons andthe electromagnetic field—like all other particles and fields—emerge as different components of the UnifiedField of Natural Law, the ultimate source of all forms and phenomena in the universe. The chart shows thehierarchical organization of the entire field of computer hardware beginning with electronics. This expressesitself into digital electronic components, which in turn are assembled to create powerful micro-electroniccomputer devices. These are integrated through the methods of computer engineering to form the basis of avariety of system configurations.

Relating the Parts to the Whole, and the Whole to the SelfThese three aspects of computing (theory, software, and hardware) merge to form systems programs, which

fully encapsulate the capabilities of the underlying hardware and software components and provide the basisfor fully-integrated computing environments. These computing environments are then used to create applicationsready to serve the different areas of national life.

Since it captures the complete value of the discipline and the Unified Field, this chart is useful for understandingthe overall structure of Computer Science and is an invaluable tool for every computer professional. The chartpresents an easy method to see the relation of each part of Computer Science to ever other part, and to thediscipline as a whole. It also shows the relationship of Compute Science to the Unified Field, and thus directlyto the consciousness of the computer scientist. It is the diversified structure of Natural Law itself, reflected in the diverse trends and tendencies displayedby the individual citizens of a nation, that gives rise to the necessity for man-made laws; national law regulatesand administers the trends and needs of the various segments of society. Ideally, national law satisfies the diverseneeds of every citizen, and organizes for the mutual fulfilment of all areas of the national life.

Alliance with Natural LawThe key to successful administration of the nation is to create an integrated national consciousness, in which

all sectors of society and all citizens are experiencing continuous progress and increasing fulfilment of theirgoals. This is achieved by creating an indomitable influence of coherence in national consciousness through agroup of ‘Yogic Flyers’—experts in the Maharishi TM-Sidhi program. Scientific research has shown that grouppractice of the Maharishi TM-Sidhi program creates coherence in collective consciousness, eliminates collectivestress, and raises life to be increasingly in accord with Natural Law, as indicated by reduction of crime, accidents,violence, and sickness, as well as improved economic trends and quality of life.

Discovery of the Unified Field of Natural LawThe developments in modern science, in particular in quantum physics, have opened new perspectives for a unified

understanding of Nature. By probing Nature’s functioning at finer distance scales, modern science has accomplisheda profound advancement towards a unified comprehension of the structure and dynamics of matter, culminating inthe discovery of the Unified Field of all the Laws of Nature, the transcendental basis of creation.

Historically, the analysis of the microscopic structure of matter began with the idea that all substances are composedof tiny particles, like atoms and their subatomic constituents. With the development of quantum theory, however,physicists soon had to conclude that the classical particle picture is quite inadequate for the description of theseconstituents of matter, and realized that the different elementary particles have to be conceived as specific resonantexcitations of fundamental quantum fields.

Prior to the development of unified field theories scientists had discovered a variety of separate quantum fields, suchas the four force fields (the electromagnetic, the weak, the strong, and the gravitational interactions) as well as the variousmatter fields. In the last few decades it was realized that with the progression towards finer distance scales an increasingunification of the laws of nature takes place so that previously separate quantum fields turn out to be merely differentcomponents of underlying unified quantum fields. This process of unification culminates in a complete unification atthe level of the Planck scale (10-33 cm) where all the various force and matter fields are unified into one single UnifiedField of Natural Law, the holistic transcendental field underlying all manifest creation. Superstring theory, the mostrecent and successful unified field theory, derives all the different force and matter fields from the different vibrationalmodes of a single underlying supersymmetric unified field—the superstring field. The dynamism at this fundamentallevel of the Planck scale is governed by Natural Law in its complete unified form, and all diversity at more superficiallevels emerges from this unified state of Natural Law by a process which is called sequential symmetry breaking.

Properties of the Unified FieldThe fundamental properties of the Unified Field comprise the well-known properties of any non-Abelian gauge field

that incorporates quantum gravity. These include the property of self-referral or self-interaction, which is reflected inthe Lagrangian or fundamental mathematical formula quantifying the Laws of Nature at the level of the Unified Field.

The Unified Field is the fountain-head of Natural Law, since all the Laws of Nature expressed in the effective fieldtheories governing physics at larger distance scales are already contained in seed form in the original supersymmetricLagrangian of the Unified Field. Since it is the fountain-head of Natural Law, the Unified Field represents the mostconcentrated field of intelligence in Nature.

Properties of ConsciousnessIt is striking how the properties of the Unified Field are precisely the attributes of consciousness. Consciousness

alone is fully self-referral, since only consciousness has the ability to know itself in a completely self-sufficient manner.Moreover, consciousness in its self-referral state, Transcendental Consciousness, is the source of all mental activityand therefore a field of pure intelligence and infinite creative dynamism. Since the fundamental properties of theUnified Field are identical to those of consciousness in its self-referral state, it is natural to conclude that the UnifiedField of Natural Law and the field of pure consciousness are equivalent. This is easily verified through the MaharishiTranscendental Meditation technique, which opens human awareness to the direct experience of TranscendentalConsciousness, pure consciousness, where consciousness is found identified with the Unified Field of all the Laws ofNature. During the Maharishi TM-Sidhi program all the subjective and objective qualities of creation are seen toemerge from the field of pure consciousness as modes of one’s own self-referral intelligence.

The Maharishi Technology of the Unified FieldThe Maharishi Technology of the Unified Field unites the knowledge of Natural Law discovered by the objective

approach of modern science with the direct experience of Natural Law provided by the subjective approach ofMaharishi Vedic Science. It integrates the knowledge of the Unified Field brought to light by quantum physics withthe subjective experience of the Unified Field gained through the Transcendental Meditation program. This integratedapproach to knowledge enlivens the Unified Field in the awareness of the individual, bringing thought and actionspontaneously into accordance with Natural Law, so that the individual enjoys the full support of all the Laws ofNature in every aspect of life.

Maharishi Vedic ScienceMaharishi Vedic Science offers complete and systematic knowledge of the eternal self-referral dynamics of the

field of pure consciousness knowing itself. It provides the direct subjective approach to the unified basis of NaturalLaw, the Unified Field of Natural Law, the field of pure consciousness. According to Maharishi Vedic Science thecomplete knowledge of the self-referral dynamics of the field of pure consciousness is available in the most ancientrecord of knowledge, Âk Veda and the Vedic Literature. Âk Veda and the Vedic Literature display the "fluctuations"of the Unified Field of pure consciousness, which are spontaneously generated from the self-referral impulses (V®ittis)of the intelligence of the Unified Field within itself. These impulses are generated as the field of pure consciousnessrecognizes itself in terms of the three qualities—the observer, process of observing and the observed—within the unityof its self-referral state.

In Vedic language, the Unified Field of Natural Law is called SA˜HITÅ, the observer is called ÂISHI, process ofobserving is called DEVATÅ, and the observed is called CHHANDAS. Maharishi Vedic Science is the science of theUnified Field of observer, process of observation, and observed, the science of the Saµhitå of Âishi, Devatå, andChhandas—the science of Âk Veda. The self-interacting dynamics of consciousness, expressed in Âk Veda is furtherelaborated in the whole Vedic Literature and expressed in the infinite diversity of Natural Law governing the ever-expanding universe. Âk Veda is therefore the Constitution of the Universe, the fundamental structure of NaturalLaw whose perfect order is expressed in the order and harmony displayed throughout the universe. Âk Veda, theConstitution of the Universe, is the unseen level of intelligence present within every grain of creation. Tony Nader,M.D., Ph.D., has recently discovered a precise correspondence between Âk Veda and the Vedic Literature, the innerintelligence of the body, and its expressions in the structures and functions of human physiology. This discovery bringsto light that the totality of Natural Law is present within every individual’s consciousness and physiology, openingthe possibility for human life to be spontaneously lived in accordance with Natural Law.
