WALT (What Am I Learn To)
To know what the solar system consist of
CELESTIAL OBJECTS IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM
What is celestial objects in our solar system?
Celestial bodies is a natural objects that was visible in the sky
CELESTIAL OBJECTS IN OUR SOLAR SYSTEM
Some Celestial Objects in Our Solar System
• Stars• Planets• Moons • Asteroids & Comets• Etc.
Characteristics of Each Celestial Object
Sun
• The Sun is a star that was so big
• The Sun is made out of 2 type gases that was called hydrogen and helium
• The Sun in the Solar System is also called a “Yellow Dwarf Planet”
The Four Inner Planets
• The four inner planets are also called the rocky planet.
• The four inner planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.
Mercury• Mercury is the first
planet from the Sun• Mercury orbit around
the Sun for 88 Earth day
• 1 Earth year is the same as 4 Mercury year
• 176 Earth day is the same as 1 Mercury day
Venus• Venus is the second
planet from the Sun• Somethimes people
called Venus “Morning Star”, “Evening Star”, or “Earth Sister Planet”
• Venus is different planet from the other planets because it spins backwards
Earth• Earth is the third
planet from the Sun• Earth is often called
“Water Planet” because 70% of the Earth is water that was 1,260,000,000,000,000,000,000 liters of water
• Earth has only one moon that we call “The Moon”
Mars
• Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun
• Mars is often called “Red Planet”
• Mars have the biggest Volcano in the Solar System called Olympus
• Mars have 2 moons Deimos and Phobos
The Four Outer Planet
• The four outer planet are also called the gas planet
• The four outer planet are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune
Jupiter• Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun
• Jupiter is also the bigest planet in the Solar System
• Jupiter have more than 16 moons and the four famous moon are Lo, Europa, Ganymede, and Callista
• Jupiter also have the famous spot that was called “The Great Red Spot”
Saturn• Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun
• Saturn is the second biggest planet in the Solar System
• Saturn have 18 moons • Saturn have rings that
was made out of pieces of rocks and ice but not dust
Uranus• Uranus is the seventh
planet from the Sun• Uranus is the third
biggest planet in the Solar System
• Uranus has more than 20 moons
• Uranus is blue and quite green because of the atmosphere that was made out of methane
Neptune• Neptune is the eighth or the last planet from the Sun
• Neptune have 8 moon and the biggest one is Triton
• Neptune has also have the famous spot just like Jupiter but this one was called “The Great Dark Spot”
THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN EARTH AND OTHER PLANETS
EARTH OTHER PLANETS1. Have
1,260,000,000,000,000,000,000 liters of water.
2. Have many living things (humans, animal, and plants)can live.
3. Have 4 season (only in some place)
1. Have less water2. No Living thins 3. Have few season
THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN EARTH AND OTHER PLANETS
• They are inside the Solar System• They are planets
THE CONCLUTION
Earth is the best planet for human to live because living things such as animal and plants need water and Earth have the most water wich is 1,260,000,000,000,000,000,000 liters. Living things also need oxygen, and Earth have the most ammount of oxygen.
