THE LAPTOP

• As we reflect on the up bringing of the laptop we notice how valuable it is to the human.

• The laptop was invented in 1981 by Adam osbourne .

• Its significance of the laptop was for people to be able to take a computer like resource on the go with them.

• The first company to produce the laptop was IBM in 1984.

• The laptop is influenced by The Umbrella perspective on communication technology, along with the critical mass theory, and the media dependency theory

THE UMBRELLA PERSPECTIVE

• The laptop itself takes analyzing dependency relations to another level, it evolves how often you can use a computer, where and when.

• In the year 2022 a laptop will be needed because there will be nothing like internet on the go.

• Being able to communicate internationally through a computer interface while you are on a airplane is more reliable and efficient than any other communication technology invented.

• A persons social values are now being put into the hands of social networking. Which now means that you can use social network as often as you use your laptop.

• The laptop will present its self in the future because the laptop collects organizational structures and social values by its owners choice and it processes and exchanges information with other individuals.

• With all these different ways to be in the laptop family it makes the laptop more reliable for the future because it can branch out in other areas, and create further growth.

MEDIA SYSTEM DEPENDENCY

• The dependency of laptops are at a all time high.

• There are millions of laptop owners.

• Laptops are used for everything like

1. class note taking

2. online voting

3. online registration

• With millions of people in the U.S having laptops it shows its importance and its dependency level.

• Laptops have proved that they are necessity and they fulfill needs which I why they will be around in the year 2022.

THE TELEPHONE

• The infamous telephone, starting off as the telegraph.

• There is no doubt that the telephone will be around in 2022. its significance captains the entire category of communication.

• The telephone started as a electrical telegraph, and who knows what it will end as, but it will always be around as long as the human race is around.

• These theories maybe reasons why the telephone will be used in the year of 2020 1. The uses and gratification

USES AND GRATIFICATION

• The telephone is bought for people own needs or gratification.

• There are several reasons for people going out to purchase telephones.

• The telephone breaks itself up into different categories.

• The cellphone is one category, and can be used for someone to communicate when you are on the go. So it satisfies the need of an unstable person.

• The house phone, another category of the telephone, is for someone who is in one spot and never tends to relocate.

• You can also be a cell phone user who likes to use your cell phone for applications or just for receiving and replying to text messages. The cell phone can even break itself into categories to service different kind of cell phone users.

• Same with a home phone, some people may want to have a home phone that shows an incoming callers Identification so there are home phones that suit those kind of users.

• As you can see the telephone is made to suit different uses and gratifications.

SOCIAL LEARNING

• In order to learn new things it takes an important source for learning new behaviors and for learning new behavioral changes.

• How can you learn from a reliable source new behavioral changes on any topic with out communicating it. The easiest way to communicate about changes is throught at telephone.

• In the year 2022 there will still be gossiping, and friend related topics from one person to another.

• With that being said there will still have to be “Phone Calls” in order for a reliable source to inform you on new behavioral changes, whether if its in a lab room or if it’s a change in technology.

• When change comes people have to be notified, and its best to notify some one through telephone devices.

• The theory of the long tail proves how relative the telephone is.

• Things that can sway the attention of the economy, are things that will be around in the year of 2022.

• The telephone shifts focus from the cost of productions and puts it to distribution fall.

• the first game console invented was the Magnavox odyssey in 1972.

• Video game systems are now service for communication technology.

• The game consoles invented today are not only for entertainment anymore they are mp3, music players, and forms of communication.

• Which shows that the game console will be around in 2022.

ROGERS DIFFUSION OF INNOVATIONS

• With a new upgrade of a game console presenting it self every year and sometimes several times year it shows the rate of new ideas, not only for game systems but also for new ideas period.

• Being that game consoles are now internet capable you can access social systems through a game console.

• game consoles at one point didn’t have, communication capabilities, internet browsing capabilities, network sharing capabilities etc.

• now that these game system can do these certain things it shows diffusion in the game system.

• Which shows it can adjust once again to be modern day in the days of 2022.

MOORE’S INNOVATION ADOPTION RATE

• Adopting innovations is how the game console it self has survived so many generations.

• Every game console adopts innovations from each other, innovations like playing in HD, having wire less controllers etc.

• These are innovations that has to be adopted in order to better this communication technology.

• The rate that innovations are adopted to make sure the the entertaining system is also a communication device is what keeps the game system up to date with generations

• Which Is why it will be useful in 2022.

THE PRINCIPLE OF RELATIVE CONSTANCYIf relative constancy is what determines why the video games

systems will be present in 2022 then there will most definitely be game consoles in 2022.

According to venturebeat.com “Americans spend 25.3B a year on video games.”

An extreme amount of money is spent between the media for game consoles, the consumers, and advertisers.

For the game console you can see that to much money and time spent for it, for it not to be in the year of 2022.
