eHealthwise - Who we are: Owned and managed the THELMA platform since 2001:
Transactional Health Exchange Linking Multiple Applications
We process electronic claims to both Medicare and Private Health Funds covering e-claims and transactions such as:
Eligibility checks, Hospital Claims, Medical Claims, etc…
One of the first – we were awarded Medicare NOI back in 2006
Last Financial year, we processed in excess of +AUD$600m of e-claims
We are an independent, low cost, web enabled (Cloud SaaS) provider
Approximately 60% of public Hospitals across NSW, QLD and VIC use THELMA
Approximately 40% of Private Hospitals nationally use THELMA
In 2013, we were awarded the Winner of NSW ICT Awards for Health

Our Solution: Mature Industry Solution which can run as standalone (as a Web SaaS
Solution) or can interface with any PMS or PAS System.
Interfacing to THELMA means we take care of all NOI / Medicare related changes and its ongoing associated time and costs.

Challenges and Opportunities: 1. Secure transfer of patient data (EMR) between multiple environments
2. Lack of interoperability between multidisciplinary clinical systems
3. Securing communication links between clinicians (remote viewing)
4. Lack of business intelligence and analytical tools covering disparate systems
Our Objectives for today: Leverage our current stable & independent industry platform capable of linking interoperable multidisciplinary systems, for next generation secure EMR data exchange. We want to:
1. Foster strategic synergies with e-health technology companies who can share this vision to utilise our current technology,
2. Link real time EMR data securely between all interoperable PMS and PAS vendors via THELMA,
3. Develop and enhance our platform to provide real-time industry Business Intelligence and Analytics Tools to all health industry participants, and to..
4. Engage with appropriate partners to enhance our Health Exchange Switch to cater for Ancillary Health Claiming.
