WikiWiki
By: Anna, Renee, and Craig
What is a Wiki? What is a Wiki?A wiki allows a group of people to
collaboratively edit a web page without knowledge of HTML coding.
A wiki is not a carefully crafted site for casual visitors. Instead, it seeks to involve the visitor in an ongoing process of creation and collaboration that constantly changes the Web site landscape.
Pros and Cons of a Pros and Cons of a Wiki…Wiki…
Pros… Cons…
Wiki pages can be viewed by the public (where anyone can edit the page) or set to personal (where you can invite users to share and edit your page).
Wikis are easy to update since every page has an edit button.
Creating new pages is simple and there is no limit to how many pages you can create.
You do not have to know about HTML coding.
Wikis have history. Wiki saves all of your old versions of a page in case you make a mistake and want to revert back to an old page. Also, you can compare old and new pages.
Many Wiki servers are free of charge.
Anyone can edit the page to add inappropriate comments.
Anyone can add information that is incorrect.
