The Journey of Mano Adam or Y- Chromosomal Adam lived in Africa 60,000 years

ago. Everyone who is alive today are supposedly descents of Y-Chromosomal Adam says Geneticist Spencer Wells.

o The first tribe that existed on this Earth is the Bushmen. Their good hunters, click noise is their language, they hand care their tools. (Time of Survival of the Fittest)

o One group of people migrated from Africa to Indian. From Indian they went to Asia all the way to Australia. Another group migrated from Africa to the Americas.

o By the end of the journey to Navajo only about ten people had made the full journey.

The Journey of Man Part II o This is how people began to populate in different places and

races. Some places do not have as much sun as do others so when people from Africa came to Europe their skin became lighter. People who stayed in Africa, since there is so much sun where darker. For example if you go to England now you probably wont get as much sun as you would if you went to Africa

o We know culture began when cave paintings, huts, equipment used to fish were discovered.

o People communicated back then by using symbols that were drawn on walls.

Catastropheo David Keys talks about Climate Changeo He explains that tree rings show how the climate changed over

thousands of years and how temperatures were very cold.o Ice layers store stuff from the atmosphere such as ashes which

show what the climate was like at the time. o During the Dark Ages period 535-536 Rome and Italy went 18

months without sun. o Ashes in the sky caused weather conditions to drop massively

everywhere around the world in the 6th century. People went hungry and starved because their crops would not grow. This is known as the Climate Effect.

Catastrophe Part IIo Ancient Civilization collapsed in 535 o People all over the world were being effected. In Mongolia

the avars which were barbarians went from Turkey to the Roman Empire to take the Roman’s gold. People in Mexico were suffering from a big drought and many sicknesses spreading and people who were under the age of 25 were dyeing.

o (The Journey of Man movie) The plague was happening so people in Europe were not used to it and many people were really sick and dyeing. They eventually spread it around Europe to the Americas. The plague came from rats who had carried the diese.

Guns, Germs, and Steelo 13,000 years ago many people were hunters and gatherers.

They hunted animals and gathered plants. Sometimes though they wouldn’t be able to because there wasn’t enough resources for hunting so they began to farm and became known as farmers. Farmers production increased because of animals. They were used to provide food, milk and make leather.

o Europeans gave Native Americans all types of diseases for example: the small pox, chicken pox, scarlet fever, etc. . Since their immune systems were not used to any of these types of diseases many Native Americans got really sick and died. About 95% of Native Americans got the Europeans dieses and died.

• Spaniards took over Inca empire. Inca had the writing. • Then the Conquistadors took over the most powerful

empire which was the Aztec empire. Incas had the writing. Mayans had communication but it was a different form . Conquistadors had swords and guns that were the latest in technology. They had steel and horses as weapons against enemies. Europeans had all the latest technology with swords and guns, they carried the horrible dieses that effected other countries bad, and had the steel.

• 1532 Is when the old world and new world came together and products from each got to one another.

Columbus Exchangeo Columbus started Cattle Ranching. o Columbus brought sugarcanes to the Americaso Columbus brought Corn to Africa when he saw the American

farmers growing it and rubber trees.o Columbus brought Sugarcane to the Americaso Potatoes to Europe when potatoes famine came the Irish

migrated to the United States in Boston. o Columbus brought Horses and Cows o And Americans brought the Tabaco, Coco, Peanut, Pineapples,

and Tomatoes. Tomatoes were also brought to Italy.o Sheep wool was brought to the Indians and European immigrants

Columbus Part II• The New World had crops such as corn, Kosovo, chili peppers were

brought to India and Thailand and potatoes. • Pigs were brought to make pork. He brought Pineapples to Hawaii.• In Mexico they had cattle, pigs, and sheep and Columbus brought over

Chickens, Donkeys, and Goats. Cattle were brought to Texas.• Columbus brought old and new world together to create one bringing

things from each country to another to make the one we have now.• North America had dandelions that Europeans brought.• Oranges were brought to Florida by the Europeans.• They brought Bananas to Ecuador.• Europeans brought Paprika to Hungary.• Coffee was brought to Colombia.• And they brought chocolate to Switzerland and Cigarettes to France.
