Digital technologies are disrupting “business as usual”, driving profound changes across the business and its supply chain
Being “Digital” means seeing digital technology advances as a way to change the way business is done – by getting closer to customers, empowering employees, and transforming internal business processes
Digital transformation is a technology-driven change impacting not only industry structures and strategic positioning but all levels of an organization and its extended supply chain
Bottom Line: traditional Operating Models are being forced to adapt to support new business models

Four key imperatives form the bedrock of effective digital transformation – enabling clients to meet challenges head-on
Rethink / Redesign Customer Experience
• Spend time understanding customer behavior and designing the customer experience from the outside in. Figure out what customers do and why, where, and how they do it. Identify where and how the experience can be digitally enhanced across channels.
Invest in new Digital Channels
• Use digital technologies to increase reach and engagement through smart investments in new digital channels. Provide user-friendly mobile apps, develop rewarding social media experiences, and rebalance marketing spending to reinforce the engagement.
Derive Insight from Customer Data
• Put customer data at the heart of the whole customer experience. Become more scientific, using metrics and analytics to inform the change — everything from understanding current usage of products and services to segmenting the customer base and proactively offering personalized deals and designing predictive marketing campaigns.
Strategically Leverage Existing Assets and Migrate to Cloud
• Seamlessly mesh the physical and digital experiences, not by replacing the old with the new, but by using digital technologies to enhance the customer experience by leveraging valuable existing assets.
