• 50/50 split between active and passive
• Ages range from 23 and 54
• Salaries in range £18,000 – 50,000
• Mix of sectors
Business sample
• 75 corporate organisations (250+ employees)
• 75 SMEs (50 – 249 employees)
• 50 SoHos – Small Office/Home Office (10 – 49 employees)
• All respondents have input into hiring decisions, either solely, jointly or as influencers

• Average number of vacancies per business increases
• Percentage advertised online increases from 54% to 70%
Online Job Boards still the most favoured route to market for businesses…
…though smaller businesses rely much more on personal and business networks
Job seekers favour job boards and are using agencies less

• By April 2012, smartphone ownership had reached 45% of UK consumers - Plus 9% now own a tablet device
