Creativite ideas for new gadgets, products and processes do constantly appear in the mind of many Managers, CEOs and Captian of industry. Such new ideas are also found in the mind of middle level managers as well as staffs on the factory shop floors. But in reality many people do not know how to handle such fresh ideas. New ideas pops-up easily but it also fade away easily. Ideas are cheap if they are not properly developed.Hence it will be beneficial if you could learn from the expert on how to developand and manage creativity and innovations. The facilitaor will also take you through a set of simple questions where you can do a test to check if your idea is good enough. Such test will enable you to avoid making bad decision and save you from bruise and heart broken if your ideas are weak. He will take you through a step by step methodology on how to trun those ideas into a winning product in the market place.

Creative ideas are form of thoughts that are not norm at that present moment of

time.

• Invention is the results of a creative thought that have been turned into a new product.

• An invention can also be a new process of manufacturing. Or a new method of service.

However, an invention is something that has not been fully commercialized yet.

• An innovation is a new invention that has been mass produced and found its way into the market place.

• An innovation normally has some better features over similar product that are currently found in the market.

Step 1 - Start by conceptualizing an Idea

• This world is not a perfect place.

• There is so many things you can create to make life better.

• Being observant is the starting point

• Look at things around you at home, work or play.

• There should be something you can invent.

Step 2 – Check Your Idea

1. Is your idea new?2. What does your friends think about your new idea?3. Do you think you can make a working model?4. Do you have the money to spend on this project?5. Do you have the time to work on this project?6. Are you able to get help for this project? 7. Do you know who are your customers?8. Are you sure they will buy your product?9. Do you know the cost to manufacture this product?10. Are you sure you can make a good margin?

Step 3 - Raise fund for your Project

• Raise fund by applying for a grant from the government, or

• Use your own fund

Step 4 - Make a Prototype / Working Model

• Create a working model to see if it works.

• You will need to do most of the work by yourself.

• There will be a need to buy materials, seek special services, outsource certain processes, monitor the work, take the work back to the workshop and a host of other things that would need your attention.

Step 5 - Filing a Patent

• Filing a patent gives you the rights over your idea for 20 years.

• However, it will be a waste of effort and money if your product cannot sell.

• The first person to file a patent is the rightful owner to that idea.

• It puts a price on your new invention

• Its a tool to bring potential investor to the discussion table
