BT Graphite Cordless phones

BT Graphite Cordless phones have long been associated with dependability,

sturdiness and reliability.

This digital cordless range (operating on the 2.4G frequency) was better know as

its BT Graphite 1100 and BT Graphite 1500 ranges. Both BT ranges boasted clear buttons, eco friendly power saving, hands free speakerphone and a 50 name and

number memory. The Graphite 1500's came with an integral digital answer

machine on top.

The telephones are all expandable (being GAP compliant) and come in versions of

Twin Handset, Trio handset and even Quad Handset..

More recently BT introduced new ranges to its portfolio, including the BT Graphite 2100 and the BT Graphite 2500 (with answer machine) phones. As before

these phones have a similar style - a smooth rounded base upon which the handset sits and the same features as before.

In addition the LCD screens have benefited from a clearer, brighter and more

legible display whilst the green, energy saving features have been further improved upon, making this one of the least power hungry phones on the market. Digital

recording time on the answer machine has been increased from 12 minutes (in the

BT Graphite 1500 range) to nearly half an hour ( in the BT Graphite 2500 range ) .

The BT Graphite Cordless phones are now even closer to being a perfect

communications solution in the home or office.

We tested these out in a semi detached 3 bedroom house. The base station was

situated in the living room (where the BT Socket was installed) and the additional satellite handsets were plugged in (to power only) in the kitchen and two

bedrooms. Although the walls were quite thick we found that we had perfect call quality throughout the house as well as the facility to transfer calls from handset to

handset - very useful if you have kids. A further boon to the system is that you can

call each other via intercom from handset to handset - "kitchen calling your food is ready"...
