WHAT IS A BLOG?
-Students feel a part of a community where they can express themselves
-Students can build up social skills even though they don’t have to talk face-to-face with people
-They can read others blogs to learn about them and their work
-A great way to publish their work and be able to reflect on it
-Teachers can monitor what is being said/posted
-Students can quickly and meaningfully respond to others
-Great way to get the shy students to participate
-Requires students to READ and WRITE
-As a teacher, blogs are a great way to comminicate with students
-Student Portfolios
-Students audience is much larger
