Azure subscription move for BizSpark Plus graduates

The instructions in this document are dedicated for BizSpark startups who are graduating

from the BizSpark Plus ($60K program) and are interested to move all their Azure usage to

the Azure MSDN benefit that every BizSpark startup member is eligible for.

To perform the subscription move please follow the instructions in this document

1. Get the Microsoft Account for your BizSpark Plus (BizSpark 1111) subscription.

You can find this in the Azure Management portal

Go to "Settings" -> "Administrators" and find what is the Microsoft Account (LiveID)

finish this process you will have a new Azure subscription named "BizSpark".

If you have activated your MSDN benefit in the past, make sure it is under the same

Microsoft Account you retrieved in step #1. If it doesn’t follow the process to change

the Microsoft Account in step #3.

4. Remove Subscription limit

Because some settings tied to the physical instances of your services may be lost, if

you run important or essential services through your subscription, remove the

spending limit to help ensure service and data continuity.

If you remove the spending limit, Azure begins charging for services when your

credits are used up. Charges continue until credits become available for use at the

next billing cycle, or until you turn on the spending limit again.

To change the spending limit follow the instructions on:

Change the Azure spending limit

5. Make sure you know the subscription ID for both the "BizSpark 1111" subscription

and the "BizSpark" subscription.

You can get this from the Azure management portal. First make sure you are

working on the right subscription and then go to "settings" to retrieve the

subscription ID. You will need those subscriptions ID's when opening support case.

6. Open a support billing case and ask for subscription move.

Log in the azure management portal (https://manage.windowsazure.com) and use

the Microsoft Account you defined as the "Service Administrator" for both the

"BizSpark 1111" and the "BizSpark" subscriptions.

On the top-right click you Microsoft Account and then click "Contact Microsoft

Support". Follow the print screens below to fill in the case details and submit to

open the case.
