Decrease in rate rainfall has been reported since last two days which leads to continued recede in water level.The flood situation in Bakura, Bhargawa, Dwalakh,Mahpatia, Persauni, Gajgaon,Bassipatti, Karharapanchayats of Madhepur block has shifting towards normal.Development Commissioner visited the flood area and observed the field situation, ordered the concernedofficials for providing relief and response to 11 displaced families in Janki Nagar panchayat. 745 peoplehave been evacuated and 93 polythene sheets have been distributed by the local government.

All the rivers are flowing below danger level except Bagmati at Benibad DL48.68AL48.76 Adhawara Group at Kamtaul DL 50.00 AL 50.80 and Kosi at Baltara DL33.85 AL 34.47. 2.Madhubani: Decrease in rate rainfall has been reported since last two days which leads to continued recede in water level. The flood situation in Bakura, Bhargawa, Dwalakh,Mahpatia, Persauni, Gajgaon,Bassipatti, Karhara panchayats of Madhepur block has shifting towards normal. Development Commissioner visited the flood area and observed the field situation, ordered the concerned officials for providing relief and response to 11 displaced families in Janki Nagar panchayat. 745 people have been evacuated and 93 polythene sheets have been distributed by the local government. 0.50 lakh people form 18 villages, 10 panchayats of Madhepur block have been affected by flood erosion. People have been resided at higher places and loss of property has estimated about 0.75 lakh ruppes.1543 people have been evacuated and taken shelters on uplands at nearby areas. 55 boats have provided and 297 piece polythene sheets have been distributed. 3. Muzaffarpur: Fluctuation in water levels in rivers have been observed due to continued rainfall in the district. Near the Koiriahi Ghat of Aurai block, the Lakhandei River embankment has breached at two places. Water entered in Rajkhand north, Koiriahi, Ramnagra, Balia, Basatpur, Ram Khetai etc. More the a dozen of villages leads to damage of crops on thousands acres of land. Water entered in 50 houses of Ramkhetari village of this block. About half dozen villages have been inundated near the Benipatti block due to flooding of Dhaush River. Road communication stopped at Madhubani-Pupari and Basaid-Sahar due to water inundation on the roads. 51 boats have been provided by the district administration in 12 villages, 8 panchayats of Katra and Aurai blocks for the evacuation of people at safer places. 4. East Champaran: Water level recedes and road communication has returned to normal. The Kaisre Hind embankment at Ramgarhwa at Bangari River breached earlier is being revamping by the villagers volunteer service. 5. West Champaran : 1757 people of 17 villages of 7 panchayats of Madhubani, Nautan and Yogapatti have been affected by the erosion due to flood. 17 boats is being operated, 73 quintal rice and 11.65 lakh cash incentive have been

distributed among the affected people. Along with this 13 quintal Sugar, 216 Matches and 1258 polythene sheets have been distributed. 6. Gopalganj : 31 thousand population, 21 villages of 8 panchayats of Gopalganj block have been affected,2 government owned and 16 private boats have been provided for rescue operations. 7. Saharsa : 1336 population, 11 villages, 9 panchayats of Navhatta, Simari Bakhtiarpur, Khalkhua and Mahesi blocks have been affected. 287 huts have been devastated. The estimated cost of these huts has estimated up to 10 lakh 54 thousand rupees. 25 boats, 52.50 quintal wheat, 52.50 quintal rice and 2.36 lakh cash incentives and 105 polythene sheets have been distributed. 8. Sitamarhi Rainfall rate decreases which result into receding of water levels in the villages of Sursand and Belsand blocks, road communication has been normalized. 9. Madhepura: 201 population, 4 villages, 4 panchayats of Chausa block has been affected. 32 houses have been devastated. The estimated cost of these huts has estimated up to 50 lakh 54 thousand rupees. 16 boats are being operated. 10. Supaul: 44 thousand population, 60 villages, 20 panchayats of Saraigarh, Kishanpur and Nirmali blocks have been affected. 61 huts have been devastated. The estimated cost of these huts has estimated up to 4.10 lakh . 106 boats are being operated, a health centre is serviceable, 1500 population have been evacuated and 61 polythene sheets have been distributed. 11. Purnea : 2285 population, 38 villages, 33 panchayats of Baisa, Baisi and Amour blocks have been affected. 281 houses have been devastated. 13 boats are being operated, 117.5 quintal wheat, 117.5 quintal rice and 3.63 lakh rupees as incentive have been distributed.
