Supporting 24/7 operationsCurrently one of the top three cloud providers in Poland, beyond.pl has its sights firmly set on becoming the market leader.Since its foundation in 2005, the company has made security, innovation and efficiency its top priorities. beyond.pl owns and operates two data centers in Poland, both of which offer the highest levels of energy efficiency and strict compliance with security standards. The company’s data center in Poznań, for example, is Tier III-certified and offers 99.982 percent availability – meaning that there is less than 1.6 hours of downtime per year. Its second state-of-the-art data center is Tier IV-certified and delivers 99.99 percent availability.To guarantee continuous operations, beyond.pl relies on having a fully redundant network infrastructure in place. To deliver the best possible service to customers, the company wanted to expand its cloud offering.

Teaming up with Lenovobeyond.pl decided to implement Lenovo System x3650 servers to run Microsoft Hyper-V as an additional virtualization platform.Powered by CPUs from the Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3 processor family, the Lenovo servers offer the high levels of performance needed to support virtualization – currently the largest Microsoft Hyper-V environment in Poland. External hard disks eliminate the need for additional Fibre Channel platforms or other kinds of storage devices – keeping maintenance costs low. In addition, the Lenovo solution offers market-leading levels of reliability.The company also uses Lenovo NeXtScale technology to support data center operations. Highly scalable, the Lenovo NeXtScale solution enables beyond.pl to maximize its IT investment by extending capacity – both horizontally and vertically – to meet individual customer needs.
