Using SoftwareThroughout this course I have increased my skills through all the software I used, with Photoshop I feel more confident in editing my magazine but also the changing of the layout of my contents page/front cover. I feel Prezi helped me to present my evaluation and show different ways of presenting my work ,Prezi is easy to use and makes your work look professional and also easier to read.Blogger was also a big help in tracking my progress throughout the making of my magazine, it meant that me or whoever looked at my Blog knew exactly what stage of production I was up to. As well as being an easy way of tracking my progress.PowerPoint was another big help in making of my evaluation, I like using PowerPoint as I have used it for a while, meaning all the features and skills used to make a PowerPoint presentation were very familiar to me. Allowing me to complete my work speedily and efficiently.

Generating Ideas

I chose to do an R&B style magazine as I didn’t think there was many of those on the market therefore making a big space for a new branded magazine such as mine to be brought in. It took me a while to decide what kind of double page spread I was going to do until I eventually decided on an interview with the rapper ‘Drake’. I felt as though this would be beneficial to my audience and would make sense in the styling and the way my magazine was set out and made.

Evaluation The evaluation for my magazine was made out of different questions in which we chose how to set out and how to answer, using different forms and technologies in order to make the evaluation look more professional and interesting.

I chose to use Prezi, which helped me present some of my evaluation questions in a brighter and more interactive way, but I also chose to present some through PowerPoint meaning that the longer questions could be taken into more depth throughout the sections.

Overall I think my evaluation could have been developed more to include a lot more of the points that at the beginning I had wanted to put in, however I ran out of time to make the final adjustments like I had originally intended to.

File OrganisationIn order to keep my files and pictures in order throughout this process, I purchased a memory stick in which I put all of my work on.I also made sure my documents were clearly organised keeping the film studies section and my magazine production separate from each other, this clear marking of folders meant that I knew which pieces of work was which and also how long I would have before I needed to move onto my next work.
