Audience Feedback Question Analyse

For this question all 10 of the people I questioned thought that my music magazine was suitable for people who are interested in the indie/rock genre, this suggests to me that I included the correct information, contents and pictures which were appropriate for my audience, in consequence to this it portrays that I researched into my genre correctly.

8 out of the ten people I asked said that they thought my front cover, contents and DPS complemented each other which proves to me that when designing them I had kept each page in mind, and considered the mise en scen, colour scheme and over all house style. However 2 people answered no to this question, in my opinion I think that was probably more due to the fact that my double page spread had a different colour scheme which incorporated red rather than purple, despite this being purposely done because I tried to reframe from my magazine pages looking to similar and tried to create them individually, because this could cause my reader to loose interest.

100% of the people I asked believed that my media product was uniformed and professional, this conveys to me that I considered this when creating each page. The overall house style includes professional looking images and that also the lay out of my magazine is uniformed and easy to read. However in my own opinion I think certain aspects could be more professional looking if I was to do this again.

This was quite an open question which allowed my readers to give feedback on the overall look and content of my magazine, all of my readers answered this question yes which would highlight that I have designed it in away which will appeal to the people of the indie/rock genre, the most specified comments which were wrote are, “good use of colour scheme” “eye catching headlines” “realistic looking features and articles”.

I asked this question in order to see whether my audience could identify the correct colour scheme, which most did, most comments were aimed at my DPS which obviously doesn’t convey the same colour scheme as the previous two pages, however this was done purposely in order to ensure this page stood out from the rest as it was my main feature article, although I did try to show to keep 3 consecutive colours which were, black, grey and white.

Again, I tried to use open questions in this after audience feedback in order to gain my possible readers input and opinions, nearly all of the comments I got were positive, and the rest were constructive criticism which I could later amend if thought this was necessary , comments I received were “informative, colourful, professional, representation of the indie rock genre”

I asked this question because I was unsure of my price in the first place, so once my media product was finished and people could see it completed I was able to estimate a better price, I came to the conclusion that £2.80 was suitable as I wanted it to be expensive enough to make profit yet cheap enough for teenagers and young adults to buy. 60% of the people I asked said that they thought this price was accurate for my magazine, the other 40% said my magazine should have been cheaper.

This question was one of my main questions which I most anticipated the answers to because of how much effort I put into taking and editing these pictures, the overall feedback I gained about these images was that my DPS image was the most appealing, this was probably due to it being took on an SLR camera similar to my front cover and contents page. I think this stood out most due to it being edited in to black and white and because it isn’t stereotypical of a normal DPS. People I asked also said that my contents page mian picture was good because it looked very naturalistic. One piece of negative feedback I gained was that the arctic monkeys picture on the front cover of my magazine wasn’t clear enough, this was pobably due to it being took on my iphone
