DESCRIPTION

Which of the following is important to you? 1. Infinite scale: capacity and performance 2. Policy-based data tiering, including tape 3. Clustered file system with global namespace 4. Ability to self-protect data 5. All of the above If your answer was 5, this session is for you. Learn how the quality of service (QoS) of Oracle’s Pillar Axiom ties directly to the policy-based tiering of Oracle’s Sun Storage Archive Manager, providing a hugely scalable architecture that can grow with you forever and is an integral part of Oracle Optimized Solution for Lifecycle Content Management. This session covers how easily you can scale capacity and performance to dynamically put data in the hands of the user, no matter how old the data or where the data is stored. Big data: no problem!

Scott RifeThe Library of Congress

“Reliable retrieval is key: An archive that only stores content is indistinguishable from a landfill. We need technology that reliably delivers all the content whenever requested and tell us proactively if there are issues affecting the retrieval of archived content.”

Robert DickNovant Healthcare

" Data availability and access 7x24 in our business is mandatory.  Actually, it is often a matter of life or death.  Oracle's SAM QFS solution allows us to easily store over 1 Billion files ranging from 512 bytes to 58 Gigabytes.  This flexibility allows concurrent ingest and access from 79 different applications using the CIFS, NFS and FTP protocols on Solaris, Linux and AIX clients.  We are able to continuously replicate between two active/active data centers 30 miles apart with 20 second fail-over.  Lack of immediate data access is simply not an option."
