Timber• Burning wood means

cutting down the forest• There is limited power

Solar Power• Really clean (zero pollution)• Energy efficient• Simple design = less

problems

Wind Power• Really Clean • Generates moderate

amount of power• Requires windy locations

Hydro Power• Medium clean• It provides massive

amounts of power• Expensive to build

Bio Mass (Dirty to Clean)• Biomass energy takes

garbage, and natural gasses from landfill and converts them into electricity

• Still causes pollution• Can produce quite a lot of

energy

Geothermal• Geothermal energy takes

the energy from the ground• There is high potential of

this power plant in the future because there is a lot of energy in side the earth

Trade Wind (High altitude)• Trade winds are much

faster than ground winds there for having more power

• It is also consistent• (somehow we must hang

wind turbines high above our heads)

Ocean current• Using ocean currents can

provide us with lots of power

• It is not hard

Wave• Using the up and down

motion of the wave to harvest power

• Takes space

New Possible Energy Sources

Gravitation forces (planetary)• Using planetary gravitation

forces we may be able to harness energy from it

Rotational forces (planetary)• Using the earths rotation

we may be able to take some energy from it

• Don’t stop the earth from moving

Global Issue??

• Interconnected – It connects to global warming

• Long acting – finding better power sources takes a long time and a long time to change

• Trans boundary – it affects not one country but the whole world

• Significant – finding a new power source is important especially when the demand for power increases
