What you are supposed to do

• You first have to see what number goes all the numbers.

• LIKE SO- 2x+4+6

• The 2 goes into all them.

The Next Step

• After that you have to divide all the numbers by the number that you chose to go in all of them.

• LIKE SO- 2x/2+4/2+6/2

• So It than equals x+2+3

• The next thing you do is put the parenthesis around the numbers you divided and put the number that you divided everything by on the out side of the parenthesis.

• LIKE SO- 2(x+2+3)

• If you want to check if you are right you can do distributive back into it.

• LIKE SO- 2*x+2*2+2*3= 2x+4+6
