Afghan Wireless’ Ramazan Calling Plans
By Afghan Wireless
Introduction
For the holy month of Ramazan, Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC) offered two special calling plans to help believers celebrate. The plans provided daily subscriptions with low calling rates and 60-second pulse times, which made them an economical choice for customers making long calls on particular days.
Calling Plans
The first plan, Daily Pack-1, cost AFN 9.99 per day as a subscription fee, offering on-net calls for 1 AFN per minute and off-net calls for 2 AFN per minute. The subscription lasted precisely 24 hours, meaning that if a subscriber signed up at 10 a.m., his or her plan would expire at 9:59 a.m. the following day. It also featured automatic renewal.
Conclusion
The second plan, Daily Pack-2, was broadly similar but featured a different rate mix. The subscription fee was lower, at 4.99 AFN per day, while the tariffs were slighter higher, at 1.50 AFN per minute for on-net calls and 2.50 AFN per minute for off-net calls. As with Daily Pack-1, the plan lasted 24 hours and was automatically renewed.
