My first exposure to twitter

Why do I pay attention to twitter?

I’m interested in ways we can employ technology in student services and in teaching

and learning.

If you follow the right people and filter out the mundane, you can learn a lot in 140 character

snippets.


So, what are some of the interesting things I’ve found?

Scott Dittman, the Registrar at Washington & Lee University, uses twitter to keep the campus informed about Registrar’s Office activities and deadlines.

Howard Rheingold

Prezi is a new – currently in beta – Flash-based presentation software that uses a zooming user interface, rather than the slide-by-slide model. I like the mind-mapping approach to creating presentations that it encourages.
