INTRODUCTION

The reason why I chose this topic is because I see the increasing use of online social networking as the main form of socializing amongst people I know. I see them get sucked into this virtual world for hours on end.

architecture student at Javeriana University.

Police said the 'virtual friends‘ kept in touch during a long time.

The crime occurred when the men attempted to steal items of value, that she had told them about in her messages on line.

Then, the police report says, the men suffocated her with a pillow.

MESSENGERWe can be misled

Because of the anonymity of msn, it is possible to fall into the hands of someone who claims to be what is not. It is a big problem, since the network is full of pedophiles and porn addicts, so it is never safe to meet people like that.

TWITTERIt's easy to get on your list of messages information

that may be sensitive personal to the user: locations, friends list, photos, which can be used against you in the future, so it is convenient to limit what we post

If you're away from your friends and family, you can upload pictures, videos and talk to them whenever you want

DISADVANTAGES

You can become an addict

If you don’t know how exactly you have to manage these social networks, you can be victim of plagiarism, your friends can upload embarrasing photos or videos about you, your information can be sold, you can be victim of theft !

THIS COULD BE MORE DANGEROUS

Each person knows about 100 people on average, between friends, family and work or school.

If each of those friends are associated with another 100 people, anyone can pass a message to 10,000 people just asking a friend to pass the message to their friends.
