Abstract

The aim of this project is to automate the optimization process of the 3G

networks by developing a tool analyzes the data and statistics of the network

cells, sorts them and recommends solutions for the different problems facing

those cells.

The project consists of four modules:

1st module is responsible for detecting the problematic cells, sorting them,

viewing the action list that contains the recommendations for solving the

different problems and visualization of the statistics of the cells.

2nd

module is responsible for providing recommendations for solving the

accessibility problems that face the users in the problematic cells.

3rd

module is responsible for providing recommendations for solving

retainability problems that face the users in the problematic cells.

4th module is responsible for updating the neighbor list, that’s adding the more

appropriate cells to the list and removing the worst cells from the list to shorten

the HO processing time.

Project value:

1) Problem Statement:

Optimize 3G Mobile Networks by Finding Fast solutions according to the

analysis of the huge performance measurements statistical data of the

network.

2) project outcomes:

Java Application deals with the huge data files and Recommends

solutions for different Network problems.

3) New idea of the Project:

Finding problems and their solutions just by one click using our

application, saving time and efforts.

4) Value for our customers:

Rf. optimization engineer deals with huge data to find the problems of the

network and try to solve it this will consume more time and effort, we

will do this by our application offering fast solution, enhancing network

performance, saves time and cuts OPEX (Operational Expenditure).

5) The potential customers of our project:

Operators will be our customers , and the application developed to be

flexible with operators needs as performance measurements statistical

data of the network differs from operator to other.

6) Future work:

Continue development the idea as we intend to deal with all the problems

of the network and finding their best solutions.
