3D Layout PlanningHow would you like to start layout planning inCADISON®? With an empty sheet of paper, throughaccess to existing 3D models – even AutoCADmodels - or through access to data from BasicEngineering or P&ID? You can simply take yourdata – either graphic data or data from plant struc-ture – through Drag & Drop and insert them in your3D model for further processing as required.

CADISON® AutorouterThe CADISON®Autorouter decisively facilitates thegraphic presentation of pipelines. For instance:CADISON® automatically adds the correct flanges,seals and bolts when taking a valve from the sche-matic. Moreover, the required reducers are setautomatically. Thus the work step from Basic Engi-neering to Detail Engineering is made much more

efficient through CADISON®. The object-oriented approach ensures that nothing will be forgotten during designphase. All modifications are automatically adopted in the 3D layout planning so that they are immediately availableon all other workplaces.

Fully Automatic Fabrication Isometrics – ISOGENIf requested by customer, CADISON® may generate fully automatic fabrication isometric from the 3D model. Thusit is possible to transform all pipelines designed by CADISON® 3D-Designer into fabrication isometric in one opera-tion. CADISON® supports the recognized industrial standard ISOGEN and provides isometrics in this format.Simultaneous preparation of pipeline diagrams and isometrics results in substantial time saving and cost reduction.

Collision TestsCADISON® supports the visualization tool Navisworks that is recognized in plant engineering. This tool makes it easyto detect possible planning errors at any time and at an early stage so that project implementation is not jeopardized.

CADISON® 3D-DesignerThe Module for 3D Layout- and Piping-Planning

CADISON® combines the engineering workflow in one system and thus significantly accelerates the planning pro-cesses. All users can see on their workplaces - either graphically or as schematic, as 3D model or text-based in atree structure – the same data and objects in each case so that they can be optionally used and modified on all work-places through simple Drag & Drop.Data and/or objects are existing once only. Thus errors as a result of redundant data management are excluded. Thesophisticated right system ensures that tasks are handled selectively. Modifications introduced by other users areimmediately made available to all other users. The continuity of the individual work steps in one object-orienteddatabase forms the core of the CADISON® technology. CADISON® uses the widespread platformsAutodeskAutoCADor Microsoft Visio for graphical presentations.


Tank AssistantA tank module easy to handle is available for rapidand easy 3D planning of tanks, pipe sections andpipe nozzles. Further requirements like sectionalviews, elevations and perspective drawings aregenerated automatically and offer the user a highstandard of support for its work.

User of the catalogue system MATPIPE may eitherprofit from readily tailored tanks and pipe nozzlesor use partial components that may be adapted byputting in further parameters.

Intelligent Pipe NozzlesOnce the tanks or pipe nozzles are positioned inthe 3D design, the pipeline planning can be easilycontinued with the intelligent pipe nozzles.

Independent Report GeneratorAll data prepared by use of CADISON® 3D-Designercan be put out via the integrated report generatorin most different forms and formats. For example,flange and pipeline lists or even selective materialevaluation documents can be prepared for indivi-dual construction stages. All reports can be revisedand stored directly within the CADISON® project.The option is to issue these reports even as auto-matically prepared PDF documents.
