In the Koran,the Sky is described as a Canopy, Roof or Dome

Many verses ofthe Koran

describe the Skyas being like a

Canopy, Roof or Dome.

This also implies a Flat circularEarth beneaththe solid Sky.

Canopy of the Sky


The Solid Sky DomeThere are several indications in the Koran which suggest a belief in a

Solid Sky above a Flat Earth.

1. The Sky is described as a Canopy, Roof or Dome.2. The Sky is held up by hidden Pillars. 3. The Sky is described as “Wide.”4. There are gates or openings in the Sky as well as mansions.5. The Sky can be ripped, torn or split.6. The Sky can be rolled up like a scroll.7. God grasps hold of the Sky to stop it moving.8. The Sky was part of the Earth before being lifted up.9. Bits of the Sky can fall to Earth.10. The Sky is a barrier against the Djinn.

11. Heaven and Earth and all between them. 12. There are seven levels or layers in the Sky.


The solid Sky

In the Koran the Sky is a solid Dome over the Earth.

Why are the Pillars of the Sky unseen?

are unseen becausethey are Underwater.

Some Muslims try &interpret Surah 13:2

to mean that no pillars hold up the

Sky.

But this is not what the Koran actually

says.
