New Booklists

• Produced termly, directly from Autolib reports

• Accession number used as key field, start and finish points

• Report produced in Excel so very flexible

• Also converted into Course Genie

• Course Genie adopted as college standard for BB courses

Reading Lists

• Currently developing lists using ReadingList, in co-operation with Teesside University

• ‘Fiddly’ software

• Also possible to produce dynamic reading lists in house – procedure available

Web Opac

• Customising of Opac

• College photographs

• Use of symbols for formats

• On-line reservations from Opac

• On-line renewals and borrower history via borrower a/c

• Accessible features?

Overdues

• Following last year’s conference, first overdue now via email

• Set up via overdue letter profiles

• Use of SMS also discussed but negative feedback from students about receiving negative messages

Overdues continued

• Mainly positive feedback from LRC staff. LRC staff to reinforce need for students to check college email

• Future building block on BB

• Future link with MyPC3

Assignment receipt

• Cheap & cheerful

• Cumbersome procedure but works for us

• Assignment = borrower

• Student = book or item

• End date for borrower and DFR date must be end of year otherwise overdues are generated

• Provides records for tutor & LRC

• E-book library via Dawson

• Serials module

• Acquisitions progress : EDI and Autolib generated report for order / delivery / availability times

• A-Z index for BB pages
