UVSA Olympics Location: Georgia Gwinnett College campus (1000 University Center Lane Lawrenceville, GA 30043)

Date: April 21st

Time: 8AM to 7PM

-Anyone interested in playing? Deadline for registration is April 6th.

-Sports: Flag football, Soccer, Volleyball, Obstacle course, Tug-A-War

-First 12 schools to register can play! So limited spots!!

-Registration fee of $75 covers lunch for 20 players during the day of competition

If 20 players go, that will be $3.75/person... so the more people go, the lower the price will be!

additional players will be $3 each

A wedding consists of three parts: one at the groom's house, the bride's house, and finally a reception at night.

At the groom's house, an odd number of young men carry trays with gifts on them which they exchange to the same number of young women.

The tea/wine ceremony starts when the groom's party gives the bride's family a sip of wine. By accepting the wine, the bride's family is agreeing to admit the groom's party.

The groom's mother always gives the bride an array of fine jewelry as a gift of prosperity.

Vietnamese Wedding Traditions

Guests who were not invited to the morning ceremony are invited to the reception where the bride and groom go table by table, accepting wedding gifts, cards, and money.

Vietnamese people don't give toasters for weddings. Monetary gifts ranging from $50-$500 are what's expected.
