2014 TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW

• Third international field lacrosse tournament in Turkey• September 01-07 2014• We highly recommend that teams arrive between August 29-31 to take full advantage of all the events planned• Everyone can stay longer past the tournament end date if they like.• Common field line markings for both men and women on same field• 16 men’s and 10 women’s teams with 12 min- 23 max players for each team• Player’s are allowed to play on only 1 team during tournament.• Day and night games• Umpires and Referees from around the world• ALL-INCLUSIVE resorts for all tournament housing• Minimum of 6 games per team • Ground transportation is included to/from resorts to/from stadiums• Beach lacrosse tournament on September 2nd from 10.00-20.00 • Main tournament from 3rd to 6th September 2014• 3 different stadiums • Playing surface is natural grass• TLO Festival Games• Open to all friends, family and fans• And much much more…


ALANYA, TURKEY• Is a beach resort city in the Mediterranean Region of Turkey, known as the Turkish Riviera. • Because of its natural strategic position on a small peninsula into the Mediterranean Sea below the

Taurus Mountains, Alanya has been a local stronghold for many Mediterranean-based empires, including the Ptolemaic, Seleucid, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires. Alanya's greatest political importance came in the Middle Ages, with the Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm under the rule of Alaeddin Kayqubad I, from whom the city derives its name. His building campaign resulted in many of the city's landmarks, such as the Kızıl Kule (Red Tower), Tersane (Shipyard), and Alanya Castle.

• The Mediterranean climate, natural attractions, and historic heritage makes Alanya a popular destination for tourism, and responsible for nine percent of Turkey's tourism sector and thirty percent of foreign purchases of real estate in Turkey. Tourism has risen since 1958 to become the dominant industry in the city, resulting in a corresponding increase in city population. Warm-weather sporting events and cultural festivals take place annually in Alanya.

• September 2nd from 10.00 to 20.00 • In the heart of Alanya city center on the harbour where all clubs, bars, shops

and restaurants are located• The harbour will be filled with locals and tourists from around the world• Hand out promotional material and showcase lacrosse educating about our

sport and getting everyone excited about the main tournament• Day and Night games• Live DJ• 6 v 6• 2x15 minute running time• Teams will be mix of women and men• Teams will be drawn on September 1st • Rules will be emailed • Tournament style

TLO FESTIVAL GAMES TLO Festival Games will run on Monday September 1st through Friday September

5th See Event Schedule for times. Each team has an opportunity to partake in all, some or none of these games.

• Each registered team will compete against other registered teams.• Each TLO Festival Game will be tournament style with one team winning each

event• 1 TLO Festival Game tournament per day ( Monday through Thursday)• The winning teams of each TLO Festival Game will compete on Friday, September

5th for the championship • The TLO Festival Games are: Beer Pong, Boat Race, Flip Cup, Dizzy Lax Head• The TLO Festival Championship Game will be announced on Friday, September 5th • The rules and descriptions of each TLO Festival Game will be issued to registered

teams• Team sign up for each TLO Festival Game will be issued on August 15th 2014• These games are meant to be fun and are for ages 18 and older.

• Don Blacklock is Referee in Charge• Referee accommodations are provided but all other accompanying

guests must pay the normal rates per night per person• Tournament unique referee uniforms• Must pay own airfare• Ground transportation to/from airport provided ONLY if airfare is

booked through TLO• Ground transportation to/from stadiums provided• Must arrive not later than September 1st 2014 but recommend arriving

GROUND TRANSPORTATION• Transportation to/from airport is included ONLY if airfare is booked

through TLO. Otherwise airport transportation to/from resorts are on your own. We will give contact information for transportation companies if needed.

• Antalya airport is approximately 120km from Alanya and is a direct along the sea coast

• Gazipasa airport is approximately 40KM from Alanya• Transportation to/from beach stadium/resorts is included • Transportation to/from resorts/main stadiums are included• We will have buses on a regular schedule from each resort to

stadiums• Taxis are not expensive and are easily accessible if desired to use


COSTS

• Tournament fees are 40Euros per player/guest• Resort stay is 55Euros per night per

player/guest• Children 7-12 are 27Euros per night and ages

0-6 are free
