I have been the Club Professional at Cardiff Golf Club for 23 years and Taylor-Made Tour ambassador for the last two years. In addition to coaching European Tour players for over 30 years, I have considerable experience in taking young amateur golfers (both boys and girls) from club golfers to tour players. I am fully qualified in the use of Trackman technology and I have recently set up The Florida Golf Performance Centre at The Founders Club, Sarasota providing opportunities for winter coaching for my European players, and I am working closely with a number of US players on the West Florida Golf Tour . Luke Williams is one of my most promising young players. I have been teaching Luke for over 4 years and he has taken his game from a 28 handicap to a 4 handicap in that time. He has worked with diligence and is extremely keen to succeed. His work ethic is second to none in all aspects of his game, from his physical fitness, his technique, and his mental approach. He is very receptive to golf coaching and he has a very determined positive attitude. Luke shows great discipline and this can be seen not only through his golf but also through his academic success. His only weakness is that sometimes in his determination to succeed he can become impatient with his speed of progress.. At his recent visit to The Florida Golf Performance Centre, I had the opportunity to analyse with Luke his swing on the Trackman and his data was conclusive. (Please see the attached Trackman analysis) He has the ability to find the middle of the club, but his angle of attack was sometimes shallow and the path of the swing was on occasion to the right with the face at impact again on occasion to the left, but also square to the path but right of the target. These faults would cause the ball to move both right and left. Luke however was able to absorb this information and then demonstrated that he was more than capable of making the necessary changes to correct these faults and achieved numbers close to Zero which straightened his ball flight and improved his consistency. It was clear that by the end of his sessions he had a clear understanding of his Trackman Data and more importantly could relate it to his swing.

To whom it may concern

I am a Qualified PGA Professional and currently a Fellow of the PGA.. I have been the Club

Professional at Cardiff Golf Club for 23 years and Taylor-Made Tour ambassador for the last

two years.

In addition to coaching European Tour players for over 30 years, I have considerable

experience in taking young amateur golfers (both boys and girls) from club golfers to tour

players.

I am fully qualified in the use of Trackman technology and I have recently set up The Florida

Golf Performance Centre at The Founders Club, Sarasota providing opportunities for winter

coaching for my European players, and I am working closely with a number of US players on

the West Florida Golf Tour .

Luke Williams is one of my most promising young players. I have been teaching Luke for

over 4 years and he has taken his game from a 28 handicap to a 4 handicap in that time.

He has worked with diligence and is extremely keen to succeed. His work ethic is second to

none in all aspects of his game, from his physical fitness, his technique, and his mental

approach.

He is very receptive to golf coaching and he has a very determined positive attitude.

Luke shows great discipline and this can be seen not only through his golf but also through

his academic success. His only weakness is that sometimes in his determination to succeed

he can become impatient with his speed of progress..

At his recent visit to The Florida Golf Performance Centre, I had the opportunity to analyse

with Luke his swing on the Trackman and his data was conclusive. (Please see the attached

Trackman analysis)

He has the ability to find the middle of the club, but his angle of attack was sometimes

shallow and the path of the swing was on occasion to the right with the face at impact

again on occasion to the left, but also square to the path but right of the target. These faults

would cause the ball to move both right and left.

Luke however was able to absorb this information and then demonstrated that he was more

than capable of making the necessary changes to correct these faults and achieved

numbers close to Zero which straightened his ball flight and improved his consistency. It was

clear that by the end of his sessions he had a clear understanding of his Trackman Data and

more importantly could relate it to his swing.

Luke was invited to play as an amateur in a West Florida Golf tournament during his stay

and demonstrated that not only did he have the game, but also the nerve and belief to tee it

up against some very strong professionals, and shoot a very good score.

I would be pleased to speak to any person who would like to discus Luke’s golf game in

more detail.
