The State of

The USA Rugby Organization governs all rugby play

from youth to professional

College rugby is growing fast

and is most popular in California, with UC

Berkeley taking home 26 championships since 1980

It is a club sport, and therefore not part of the NCAA

There is no longer a professional rugby league

in the U.S

and they tried…..

Rugby Super League, as it was called, lasted from

1997 - 2012

Even so, The US National Team has a

decent track record

They’ve qualified for six of seven World Cups

And are the reigning Olympic

champions!

…from 1924 (Rugby will be re-instated next year)

They will be competing in this years World Cup in

England
