COMMUNICATIONSThere are a lot of big and awesome events in store for you in YFC this year and we would love all of you to be part of it. But how can you know the ins and outs in YFC when there’s no one to tell you about it? Well, as the official media and communications arm of YFC-A. The Communications team is in charge of updating you with the latest happenings in the organization to make sure that you’ll be part of this awesome year!

As a team, we aim to utilize the creativity of youth with the aid of technology to creatively deliver God’s message to young adults and to communicate ideas across the YFC-Ateneo community. Our team exists to capture stories of transformations in the lives of the youth to attract more people into having a more personal relationship with Christ.

“How can they hear if the message is not proclaimed?” - Romans 10:14. With our God-given skills and through various media, we will surely deliver His message with the five other committees. Join this committee and let’s inspire and empower others!

SPECIAL PROJECTSSpecial Projects is the external arm of Youth for Christ - Ateneo that

serves as a liaison of the organization to the greater Ateneo and YFCcommunities. In the Ateneo, the committee is responsible for coming up withideas, activities, and events that promote and market YFC to the studentbody. More than doing public relations, the committee also aids different organizations, particularly those that are not religious in nature, to find thespirituality most appropriate to their work and their members.

In the wider YFC family, Special Projects plays a crucial role instrengthening the involvement of YFC-A members to the bigger CFC-YFCcommunity through active participation in sectoral and regional undertakings. Values of excellence and servant leadership are also shared toour YFC brothers and sisters outside the school through various activitiesthat cater specifically to them.



SPECIAL PROJECTSFORMATION SEMINARS: YFC’s

NEXT TOP MODEL

The seminar is a two-part event that has the encompassing theme of service as contribution to the greater good. The first part introduces the concept of servant-leadership – that the leader is first a servant whose motivation to serve is his deep desire to help others and bring about positive change. The second part highlights service as a going beyond their areas of responsibility and the immediate YFC community.

THY ART PRAISE GOD

This art contest (photography, digital art, film, song-writing, etc.) allows for the participants to utilize not only their God-given talents but also the understanding of the Scriptures.

Spirituality Workshops for non-FFC orgs

These workshops are our response to the call to share our faith and values to organizations that are not religious in nature. These would address spirituality needs of the organization upon assessment of their leaders.

YFC MISSION TRIP Delegates from YFC-Ateneo will have the opportunity to immerse themselves and experience the culture of other YFC communities. In turn, this will also serve as an avenue for YFC Ateneans to share with the other YFC communities their practices and ways of doing things in the Ateneo.Youth for Christ Community Events-Conferences (PYC, MetroCon, ILC)-Concerts (LiveLoud)

Faith talks

A series of talks that explores the different issues and social realities faced by the Catholic faith. These talks would invite resource persons who are knowledgeable on such issues.





EVANGELIZATIONWe are the central arm of the Youth for Christ Ateneo. We discern the

content of our year-long activities which are FRESH, PASSIONATE andFULL OF YOUTHFUL PERSONALITY to help cultivate and renew the faith ofthe members of our community.

Through this committee, we aim to be these messengers for ourgeneration – for our families, for our brothers and sisters, and for ourfriends. And now we aim to be used by His grace so as to ground our peersback to the basics of truth of our Faith in God through Christ.

To put it simply, we’re the “Speakers” of the Word and we have to be turnedon at full BLAST to spread the message far and deep. Hence, likeloudspeakers in a party, we BLAST whatever He wants us to say.



EVANGELIZATIONPrayer Meeting Prayer Meetings are series of prayer sessions open to all Ateneans. These Prayer meetings will be held every month and will focus on deepening the spirituality of its member by knowing God in a profound, more personal and doctrinal level and with different perspective.

EVANGELIZATIONSpeakers and Worship Workshop August 1, 2009 These are workshops highly encouraged for all YFC-A heads, deputies and members. The said workshops will utilize experienced speakers to facilitate the members and series of group activities to develop and to utilize the members’ ability to lead worships and deliver talks.

Semi-Silent Retreat October 18-22, 2009 This event will be a 2 day- 2 night gathering of the household heads, deputies and executive committee that will consist of team building activities and talks aimed at developing their leadership potential. The first half of the event will follow a silent retreat format while the latter half will allow speaking and will include functional planning.





CREATIVESThe Creatives committee joins the Special Projects committee in the

task of creative evangelization. The committee handles the creativeaspect of the community service by creating opportunities for the membersto grow in spirit and service through the arts like music, praise and fashion,dance, acting and many more.

The committee brings people of different talents and personalities closertogether by letting each individual share their passion for the arts and in turnencourages others to develop their own skills. The committee also spreadsthe idea of performing as a form of prayer and worship bringing people closer not just to each other, but also to God



CREATIVESCREATIVES WORKSHOP (July 24, Aug. 3, Aug. 17, Sept. 14) Creatives workshops are talent workshops that introduce skills to the members. These will serve as tutorials for acting and playing instruments (guitar, keyboard, violin, etc) while instilling the passion for service and praise through performance.

SKIT/MUSIC/ DANCE MINISTRY





FINANCETasked with managing and gathering financial resources for the CFC – Youthfor Christ Ateneo, the Finance Committee branches out into two divisions inorder to have these responsibilities fulfilled.

The accounting group keeps track of the expenses of the othercommittees, provides comments and suggestions on their financialdealings and monitors the account of organization under the Office ofStudent Activities. The marketing group, on the other hand, focuses onfinding alternative sources of income through corporate sponsors and fundraising activities.

Technical may the job description be, it commits itself to fulfilling itsservice by ensuring that other committees have the necessary financialresources to accomplish their respective functions. At the same time, it isunder the belief that no matter how difficult the work is, regardless of thenature of the responsibility, true service seeks to fnd God, waiting behindevery door.





SOCIO-POLITICALThe Socio-Political Committee is one of YFC-A’s external arms.

Focusing on instilling awareness to its members, the committee also aims to provide specific venues and ways to address some of the social and political issues of the country today. This year, the committee is workingactively to help form youth leaders from GK Sitio Ruby, facilitate learning to the kids of Malanday, Marikina and rally the youth to vote in the greaterAteneo community by being a partner of the Ateneo Task Force 2010.

As one committee, we believe in inspiring other youth to participateactively in the issues that surround us. We believe that our generation,with the help of God, can be the catalyst to help change our country and our world for the better.
