As the 2014 world Cup is currently happening in Brazil, I chose to edit a photo of the World Cup and Adidas Brazuca football. The link above is where the tutorial I used to edit this picture can be found. I first had to select the object I wanted to stand out, which was the ball and cup. To do this I used the quick selection tool to save some time. During this I found a small issue which was that I could not stop selecting part of the grass. This meant that when I made the background black and white, a patch of the grass would be green instead of black and white. Luckily I found a way round this, and eventually sorted the problem through trial and error.

I had the option to make the World Cup and the ball any colour I wanted, but when I experimented I found that colour made the objects look silly. So I decided to keep them their original colours. I am happy with my finished piece and particularly like the way the image emphasizes how the two most important elements of the World Cup competition is the Ball and the Cup.

This is a screen grab of the layers I used, I did this by holding CMD SHIFT 3 then selecting which part of the screen I wanted to capture in an image.
