CAVE DIVING..

In the middle of the diving place is an air hole where you go up for a breath

In the cave there is lime stone forming and other things like marble that have formed over 500 million years

THE HEIGHT

At the start of the resurgence track Takaka hill rises above you for approximately 600 meters to the Motueka/Takaka Highway. Takaka hill is also a drainage system for all the rain.

MARBLE AND

LIMESTONE

Limestone further transformed into marble over 500 million years

Through 500 million years fish bones and Carcases have formed marbles.

Carcases and bone were from birds and dinosaurs in the past.

THE WALK

The walk at the start of the tramping track takes only 15 minutes at least to get to the Riwaka Resurgence

At the Riwaka Resurgence there has been flooding that filled the whole resurgence. It happened many years ago from where we are now in 2007.
