Eagle Project by Ammon Christensen for the Child & Family Support
Center
What is it about?
They are being very successful; but they have outgrown their building. They need a new storage shed.
The CFSC helps thousands of families every year.
This project is benefiting the Cache Child & Family Support Center.
THIS IS WHERE I COME IN.
I am doing this booth for advertising and fundraising.
I am raising awareness for child abuse and the CFSC.
Where’d this come from?
• I was talking about my RC glider in the car.
• The ‘rents brought up my eagle project.
• I didn’t want to repaint something; I wanted something long lasting.
• I also wanted to incorporate airplanes.
• My mom works for the CFSC.
• She said she had a list of what they needed.
Why did I choose the shed?
• I wanted to do something BIG that people would remember.
• I looked at the list, thinking: “What is the biggest thing on here?”
• ‘New Shed’ stuck out like a sore thumb. A really red sore thumb.
• I love building, and I love airplanes, so it all just clicked!
Now what?
• We had to figure how to combine planes and an Eagle Scout project.
• The phrase ‘Planes for Child Abuse Prevention’ came into mind.
• Mom said it before I did. “Planes for Prevention.”
The Big Picture
• According to the Eagle Scout workbook, you can’t just do a fundraiser; you have to do something with that money.
• This is the first stage of the project.
• The next stage is going to come fast.
• A half-time demonstration at an Aggie football game is possible.
• More information will come.
