PDA (Personal Digital Assistant)

• The purpose of a PDA is to make life

easier with a calendar, send/receive

emails, can access internet, manages your

schedules, has windows os and also has

multimedia features.

laptop

• The purpose of laptops is to provide users

with the capabilities of a desktop computer

rolled into a small, portable unit which are

manly used on the go. A laptop can use

operating systems such as Windows or

Mac.

Netbook • The purpose of a netbook is that can do

the same tasks as a normal computer,

such as email checking and internet but

because of their size, they are limited in

the types of tasks they are able to do and

cannot perform high performance required

tasks such as games.

PC Base Unit

• The purpose of a PC Base Unit is a

computer that is in a permanent position

which can be used store information and

to store and use applications. It can be

used as a centralized backup point for

multiple laptops or users.

Mobile Phone

• The purpose of a mobile phone is easy

and independent communication. They are

very potable and can be used anywhere.

Can be used to:

• Message

• Call

• E-mail

• Applications

Games Console

• A games console main purpose is to play

games, DVDs and CDs. There are many

different types of consoles that can be

used at home or can be used on the go.

Server

• The main purpose of a server is to host

files, applications and to provide web

access which can be used to surf the web

or to backup files.
