History

•The clicks of horses hoves have been on our planet for over 50 million years, much longer than humans, but once man and horse met our two species have been powerfully linked!

Types Of Horses

•There are many different kinds of horses, including: shetland, buckskin, mare, paint, ect.

Caring •Horses love attention you need to feed

them, brush them, and play with them!

Hooves•Hoves are horses feet, and they can

have shoes too! There is a doctor called a Fariary who checks horses feet and gives them “shoes”, horse shoes.

Ponies•Some horses are miniature and wont grow

very big thier called Shetlamd Ponies.

Baby Horses!

•Baby Horses are called colts. The mother horse carries the baby for 9-10 months.

•Horses are very sweet animals when treated nicely, but unfortunattly over 1000 horses are being abandodned each year.

•Horses all over the world need our help there are being tied up and left to starve and die.

Ridding•Many people ride horses for fun

and entertainment!

English Riding•English ridding is with a saddle

that doesn’t have a horn and is less wieght than western saddles.

Western Riding•Western Ridding countains a much

heavier saddle and a horn.

Racing•Some people even rave horses for a living!

Games•In Many counries people even play a

game on their horses this is called Polo.

Bit•A bit is another type of halter that

goes into a horses mouth.

Hackamore•Hackamore’s are a type of halter for

a horse, but that does not go in the horses mouth.

family fun and a way to see horses run!

rodeos and the judges crown them the best
