DESCRIPTION

Jujitsu a Martial Art for self defence. The core of our syllabus is designed to provide you with effective skills to protect yourself and those in your care. A very effective martial art all. Our instructors are qualified by the National Governing Body for jujitsu in the UK - the BJJAGB - which is recognised by UK Sport (formerly known as the Sports Council). Highly qualified in First Aid to instructor level, we are also fully insured through Sports Coach UK. Our goal is to teach you jujitsu in a class that is safe, effective and engaging, where you can develop self-confidence by learning vital life skills.

• What experience do I need?

• No experience is needed as most people who join our classes have never done a martial art before.

• When can I start?

• New students are welcome to start at any time as the classes run all year round. All you have to do is turn up, fill out an induction form and then have a go.

• Classes every Wednesday– 7.30pm to 9.30pm

• Is Jujitsu good for self defence? • There are few arts which are as good for practical

self defence as Jujitsu. • students are taught defences against a wide variety

of realistic situations – defence from:– rear attacks, holds– punches, kicks,– weapons – attacks on the ground and many more.

• What Makes us Different? • We take an active interest in each student to help

them learn effective skills• We are an accredited training centre registered with

the British Jujitsu Association Governing Body• Our instructors are fully qualified black belts,

licenced, insured, CRB checked and qualified coaches in accordance with Sport England.

• WHY join US? Why you should come along? • If you are thinking “can I do this?” the answer is yes,

the “how” is in coming to our lessons.• We are a friendly club, and beginners are always

welcome.• Simply turn up in some loose clothing (old t-shirt and

jogging bottoms are fine) and come try us out.

• Frequently Asked Questions

• Do I need to be fit?• Training is at the students pace, we would only ask you do

what you are capable of. The warm up and training will in time improve your fitness. If you want to increase your fitness, we would encourage you to stay for the enhanced jujitsu.

• What if I come on my own?• This is fine, most students start on their own. There will

always be someone to train with who has similar ability to you.

• Frequently Asked Questions

• I am a woman, do you accept women? • There are many women who train in Jujitsu. They join for

various reasons, some for fitness, some to learn self-defence. Women are always welcome at our class.

• I am nervous and not sure • We can appreciate that. If you wish you can come to any

class and watch for the evening. You can then observe exactly how the classes are run and see that they are well run and not scary
