2nd – 9th MARCH 2013 Conquer 420km of Death Valley by

bicycle! This one is for the real cycling nuts,

located in the South California Desert in Nevada the 3.4 million acre National Park is the largest National Park in the US and provides some of the most striking views known to man. The Valley itself is 130 miles long, 6 to 13 miles wide with steep cliff vistas on either side. You’ll be cycling 420 km through Death Valley towards Las Vegas. This may be the ultimate charity bike ride for you.

27th APRIL 2013 Looking for something a little more

rugged and exciting than road cyling? Quite like getting covered in mud and being out in the countryside? Then the Ups and Downs cycling event is probably right up your street. Providing some of the best mountain biking the country has to offer the ups and down cycling competition is held in North Downs, some of the most beautiful countryside in the UK.

With two lengths of ride to choose from, epic 32 miles and standard 25 miles, you’ll be taking on a serious challenge here. With steep hill climbs and fast narrow slopes be sure to bring you’re a-game or you could find yourself buried in a hedge.

30th APRIL 2013 Starting at Land's End on the southwesterly tip of England, pedal your way through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and north along the Welsh border, skirting the Lake District into Scotland, via lochs and mountains to the North coast and John O’Groats. In all we will cover almost 1000 miles in 12 days, passing through some of the most stunning and remote countryside in the British Isles.

This is a tough challenge but a fabulous way to see the country, and one of the most rewarding things you will ever do!

20th – 27th APRIL 2013 Mencap Cymru is reconnecting the two towns by organising a gruelling charity cycle ride from Pontypridd to Brive.

The challenge open to all levels of fitness and to those wanting to get fit! It all kicks off on Saturday 20 April 2013 at 9am from Pontypridd Rugby Club, Sardis Road.

16th JUNE 2013 You will start the challenge in South

London, travel through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead, Haywards Heath and finally to Brighton having completed 54 miles!

No previous experience is required however preparation for this event is highly recommended, and with a bit of training completing this event should easily be within your capabilities. The spirit of the event is 'taking part' not 'winning' so you go as fast or as slow as you like!

CENTURY CHALLENGE RIDE

Sunday 30th JUNE 2013 100 mile bike challenge from Oxford to Stow-on-the-Wold, William Shakespeare's birthplace, Banbury Cross and back to Oxford.

This single day 100 mile bike challenge could be used in preparation for your next multi-day bike adventure.

Only 1500 cyclist this year allowed, get in there fast!

The Century Cycle Challenge is not a sportive; it is a charity bike ride, raising vital funds for a local cancer charity. The ride is NOT chip timed; it is NOT a race.
