- Arsenal was founded in 1886.

- They are a North London based team.

- They play in the English premier league.

- Arsenal are the only team to play an entire season unbeaten.

- The stadium the play at is called the Emirates

- Arsenal have a long standing rivalry with another London club Tottenham Hotspur.

• The two main arsenal stadiums are Highbury and the Emirates.

• Arsenal moved in to Highbury in 1913 and stayed until May 2006.

• Highbury could hold 60,000 spectators at its peak.

• Arsenals next stadium was the Emirates which was named after their sponsors.

• Emirates airline made a sponsorship deal with Arsenal for up to £100 million. The biggest in English football history.

• The first crest was unveiled in 1888 and features three cannons facing north.

• It is these cannons that originally gave Arsenal supporters the nickname ‘Gooners’

• There is now only one cannon in the logo and it is now facing west.

• Arsenals motto ‘Forward’ is featured on some on the earlier logos.

• A new logo will be released for Arsenals 125th anniversary featuring the motto and 15 leaves that represent the 15 founding members of the club.

• Arsenal traditionally play in bright red tops with white sleeves and white shorts.

• The shirt colour is in recognition of a charitable donation from Nottingham Forest not long after the club was founded.

• The kits have been produced by Umbro and Adidas but Nike have now taken on this role.

• It is said that the inspiration for the red top and white sleeves was taken from a fan. The manager supposedly saw the supporter wearing a white t-shirt with a red jumper over the top.
