Each new year brings something exciting to golf: new clubs. For any golf nerd out there, seeing the latest and greatest clubs to come out is like being a kid in a candy store. There are a ton of new clubs to get excited about in 2016, but here are the five I’m looking forward to trying out the most.

FAIRWAY WOOD: EXOTICS EX9 BY TOUR EDGE• Purpose: With new crown features

that reduce friction and offer better aerodynamic performance, the Exotics EX9 were designed for players seeking enhanced distance and clubhead speed.

• Features: Interchangeable heel weight, uniquely engineered SlipStream sole to reduce friction through turf, notched cavity behind the clubface for increased face flexibility and speed, a Carpenter 475 cup face, and a hyper-steel body. Mitsubishi Bassara E-Series and Matrix Exotics White Tie, Red Tie, and Black Tie graphite shafts come standard.

IRON: 716 T-MB BY TITLEIST• Purpose: Designed for the

advanced player focused on shot-shaping and control rather than forgiveness.

DRIVER: VAPOR FLY BY NIKE• Purpose: Nike’s new vapor

delivers a higher launch, flatter ball flight, and distance, according to Paul Casey who showcased the driver at the Tour Championship at the end of the season.

• Features: Similar to current VaporSpeed with 10.5-degrees loft and Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana White Board 73x shaft as before, as well as compression channel, support beams and an adjustable hose.
