PRESIDENT’S PRESIDENT’S WELCOMEWELCOME
On behalf of Garnock Rugby Club I extend a very warm welcome to Lochshore forseason 2015 – 2016.
Last season was a challenge for our young team and for our new coaching staff. Wesucceeded in fighting our way out of the relegation zone with a very spirited finish tothe season.
Our aim is to learn from last season as club and look to develop the many positivesfrom last season. We will continue with the core of the team from last season and as aclub we believe that it is right to develop our own players from the local community.
A key aim for Garnock Rugby Club is to re-establish rugby at Garnock Academy andwe have made a significant impact over the past 2 years in doing so. Our GarnockRugby Club Development Officer, Gavin Blackburn now runs a very successful SchoolOf Rugby model over 3 academic years. This is in addition to the work beingundertaken in the 7 feeder primary schools in the Garnock Valley.
As a result our junior section continues to grow which we believe will produce somestars of the future for this club.
The re-development of facilities atLochshore continues to progress withLochshore Community Association, whoare working with North Ayrshire Councilto secure an Asset Transfer of land tobuild a facility at Lochshore. This willsupplement the facilities being developedat the new Garnock Academy site.
We would also like to invite you to theEglinton Inn Beith after the game forsome refreshments and to enjoy someconversation about the game.
We hope you enjoy your visit toLochshore and ask that you adhere to ourcode of conduct.
