Your last week in ENC 1101
Tips and Reminders
• Look at portfolio guidelines. Portfolio due on final exam day
• Writing journals also due on final exam day. You should have 18 entries to get full credit.
• Start revising your papers. Remember to “gloss” (highlight) your changes
• Bring everything for your portfolio on Thursday
Portfolio should include:
Reflection Letter
Table of Contents
DC Ethnography: FINAL draft (marked), and any drafts that you had before the final
Rhetorical Analysis: FINAL draft (marked) and any drafts that you had before the final
Autoethnography: FINAL draft (marked) and any drafts that you had before the final
Autoethnography
• Most improvements asked that you add quotes from your transcript
• Try blocking your quotes
• If you would like to make any revisions to your autoethnography *before* your portfolio draft, email me the revision with your changes *highlighted* before 8pm on Wednesday, 11/30. Any changes after this will have to go in your portfolio.
Use lengthier chunks of text
Indent the blocked quotes. No quotation marks
Always say something about the quote
Read through your paper…
• Underline areas where you could expand. Look at your transcript and underline additional quotes that you can include in your paper.
• Read through the entire thing and fix sentences that don’t make sense.
• Do you have page numbers? Works Cited page? Look at prezi posted on FB for help with this.

Ready to play?Rules:
Each team gets a chance to select a question. Everyone must wait until Martinez reads the question.
The first team to hold up their board gets a chance to answer. All others must lower their boards.
If the first team answers incorrectly, the first team to hold up their board gets a chance to answer.
All answers begin with, “What is…”
Do not argue with Ms. Martinez, or she will deduct points at her discretion
Review for your reflection
