BUT THEY ARE NOT TRUE

Sometimes I feel or think negative things about myself

Page 2: Who I am!

THE VOICE OF TRUTH

I will choose to listen and believe…

The voice of God, my Father, my Savior and Friend

Page 3: Who I am!

I am not a nobody

I am created in God’s image “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our

image, according to Our likeness’” – Genesis 1:26a

Page 4: Who I am!

I am not unwanted

I am God’s daughter “To all who received

him, to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God – children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. “ – John 1:12

Page 5: Who I am!

I have friends

I am Christ’s friend “I no longer call you servants, because a

servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you.” – John 15:15

Page 6: Who I am!

There is something special about me

I have been chosen “just as He chose us in Him before the

foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” Ephesians 1:4

Page 7: Who I am!

I can change

I am a new creation “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a

new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” – 2 Corinthians 17

Page 8: Who I am!

I am not dead

I am made alive “Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Most

assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ …Jesus answered , ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.’ “

–John 3:3,5

Page 9: Who I am!

I am not bad

Christ lives in me

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? – unless indeed you are disqualified. But I trust that you know that we are not disqualified.“ – 2 Corinthians: 13:5-6

Page 10: Who I am!

I am not worthless

I am accepted and worthy “to the praise of the glory of His grace, by

which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” – Ephesians 1:6

Page 11: Who I am!

I do matter

I am significant “For we are God’s workmanship, created

in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared us in advance to do.”

– Ephesians 2:10

Page 12: Who I am!

There is a purpose for my life

I am a member of Christ’s body

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” – 1 Corinthians 12:27

Page 13: Who I am!

I can do something

I am adequate “I can do all things through Christ who

strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13

Page 14: Who I am!

I am not hated

I am very loved “For God so loved the world that He gave

His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Page 15: Who I am!

I will never turn God away from me

I can not be separated from the love of God

“ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or ganger or sword?” – Romans 8:35

Page 16: Who I am!

I am not a failure

I stand perfect in God’s eyes “For by one offering He has perfected

forever those who are being sanctified.” – Hebrews 10:14

Page 17: Who I am!

I am not crazy

I have the mind of Christ “For who has known the mind of the Lord

that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 2:16

Page 18: Who I am!

I am not hopeless

I have all the hope I need “Now may the God

of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Page 19: Who I am!

I do not have to be sad

I am blessed “Blessed be the God and the Father of

our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” – Ephesians 1:3

Page 20: Who I am!

I have enough

I am provided for “And my God shall supply all your need

according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19

Page 21: Who I am!

I am not alone

I am never alone “For He Himself has said, ‘I will never

leave you nor forsake you.’” – Hebrews 13:5

Page 22: Who I am!

I don’t have to do this on my own

I have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit

“For through Him we have access to the Father by one Spirit.” – Ephesians 2:18

Page 23: Who I am!

I am not ignored

I am heard, remembered, and acknowledged

“So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them.” – Exodus 2:24-25

Page 24: Who I am!

I do not live in darkness

I am light “For you were once darkness, but now

you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” –Ephesians 5:8

Page 25: Who I am!

I will not fail in everything

I am assured that all things work together for good

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28

Page 26: Who I am!

I do not have to be scared

I am free from fear “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And

delivered me from all my fears.” – Psalm 34:4

Page 27: Who I am!

I do not have to be miserable

I have God’s comfort “Blessed be the God and

Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4

Page 28: Who I am!

Life is not meant to be crappy

I can live life to the fullest “ The thief comes only to

steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10

Page 29: Who I am!

Others can not judge me

I am free from any condemning charges against me

“If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all how will He not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charges against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.”

– Romans 8:31-33

Page 30: Who I am!

I am not condemned

I have been redeemed and forgiven of my sins

“For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the Kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” – Colossians 1:13-14

Page 31: Who I am!

I may never meet the world’s standards

I am dead to the law “For sin shall not have dominion over

you, for you are not under law but under grace.” Romans 6:14

Page 32: Who I am!

I will amount to something

I am confident that the good work that God has begun in me will be

perfected “Be confident of this, that he who began

a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6

Page 33: Who I am!

I belong

I am given eternal life and a resurrected body

“For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”

– Philippians 3:20-21
