• 1 Kings 19:3-4And when he saw that, he rose and ran for his life... a day’s journey into the wilderness..sat under a broom tree he prayed that he might die, and said, ’It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!’

3)We are never alone in facing life challenges.• 1 Kings 19:14

And he said, ’I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, killed Your prophets with the sword. I am alone left; and they seek to take my life.’

Then the LORD said to him: ‘Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria. And you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.’

and neglecting the routine and mundane?• Do we feel like giving up in the things we

called to do?• Is God asking you ‘What are you doing

here?’

• If we have been like Elijah losing the sense of direction :-

a) Let’s lift up our eyes to the LORD again.

b) Let’s be steadfast in the tasks we are called to do.
