1. Our Spiritual Weapons

2 Cor 10:3-4 (KJV) For though we walk in the flesh,

we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty

through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Zech 4:6 (KJV) Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel,

saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

2. Praise Helps You

Win Emotional Wars

1. Praise Allows You to Deliberately Work Toward

Changing Your Emotions

Col 3:1-4 (KJV) If ye then be risen with Christ,

seek those things which are above,

where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above,

not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and

your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ,

who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also

appear with him in glory.

2. Praise Allows Joy to Come and Sorrow to Leave

Isaiah 35:10 (KJV) And the ransomed of the Lord

shall return, and come to Zion with songs and

3. Praise Sets Your Emotional Mood

Psalms 16:7-9 (KJV) I will bless the Lord, who

hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me

in the night seasons. 8 I have set the Lord

always before me: because he is at my right

hand, I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my

heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my

flesh also shall rest in hope.

4. Praise Overcomes Depression

Psalms 42:4-5 (KJV) When I remember these

things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone

with the multitude, I went with them to the house

of God, with the voice of joy and praise,

with a multitude that kept holyday. 5 Why art

thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou

disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall

yet praise him for the help of his

countenance.

5. Praise Changes The Emotional State Of Others

Around You

Psalms 34:1-3 (KJV) I will bless the Lord at all

times: his praise shall continually be in my

mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the

Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and

be glad. 3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let

us exalt his name together.

endured a great fight of afflictions;

33 Partly, whilst ye were made a

gazingstock both by reproaches and

afflictions; and partly, whilst ye

became companions of them that

were so used. 34 For ye had

compassion of me in my bonds, and

took joyfully the spoiling of your

goods, knowing in yourselves that ye

have in heaven a better and an

enduring substance.

3. Our Praise Empowers The Lord

1. We Bless Him Because He First Blessed Us

Psalms 115:15-18 (KJV) Ye are blessed of the

Lord which made heaven and earth. 16 The

heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord'S: but the

earth hath he given to the children of men.

17 The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that

go down into silence. 18 But we will bless

the Lord from this time forth and for

evermore. Praise the Lord.

2. When We Bless Him, We Exalt Him

Psalms 18:46 (KJV) The Lord liveth; and blessed

be my rock; and let the God of my

salvation be exalted.

3. When We Bless God and He Blesses Us

Psalms 134:1-3 (KJV) Behold, bless ye the

Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by

hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

3 The Lord that made heaven and earth bless

thee out of Zion.

4. Blessing The Lord Causes His Help

Psalms 28:6-7 (KJV) Blessed be the Lord,

because he hath heard the voice of my

supplications. 7 The Lord is my strength and

my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am

helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;

and with my song will I praise him.

5. When We Bless The Lord, We Cry for Help

Psalms 31:21-24 (KJV) Blessed be the Lord:

for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in

a strong city. 22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off

from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou

heardest the voice of my supplications

when I cried unto thee. 23 O love the Lord,

all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the

faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen

your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

o Psalms 66:20 (KJV) Blessed be God,

which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

6. Blessing The Lord Gives God Our Burdens

Psalms 68:19-21 (KJV) Blessed be the Lord,

who daily loadeth us with benefits, even

the God of our salvation. Selah. 20 He that is our

God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the

Lord belong the issues from death. 21 But God

shall wound the head of his enemies, and the

hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his

trespasses.

Psalms 68:19-20 (AMP) Blessed be the Lord,

Who bears our burdens and carries us

day by day, even the God Who is our

salvation! Selah [pause, and calmly think of

that]! 20 God is to us a God of deliverances and

salvation; and to God the Lord belongs escape

from death [setting us free].

7. Blessing God Empowers Him In Your Life

Psalms 68:32-35 (KJV) Sing unto God, ye

kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto

the Lord; Selah: 33 To him that rideth upon the

heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he

doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency

is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places:

the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and

power unto his people. Blessed be God.

8. Blessing God Keeps Us Heaven Conscious

1 Peter 1:3-5 (KJV) Blessed be the God and

Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which

according to his abundant mercy hath begotten

us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of

Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance

incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth

not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who

are kept by the power of God through faith unto

salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

4. Winning Life’s Battles With

Praise

1. Having The Presence of God is Beginning of

Winning 2 Chron 5:13-14 (KJV) It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the

Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the

house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; 14 So that the priests could not stand to

minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

o Psalms 24:7-10 (KJV) Lift up your heads, O

ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting

doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. 9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates;

even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my

saviour; thou savest me from violence. 4 I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

3. Our Troubles Melt At the Presence of the Lord

Psalms 97:1-6 (KJV) The Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. 2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the

habitation of his throne. 3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. 4 His lightnings

enlightened the world: the earth saw, and

trembled. 5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence

of the Lord of the whole earth. 6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

4. Nebuchadnezzar’s Life Was Restored When He

Praised God Dan 4:34-37 (KJV) And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven,

and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever,

whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: 35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his

hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? 36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors

37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

5. When We Exalt God, He Exalts Us

Psalms 113:1-9 (KJV) Praise ye the Lord. Praise,

O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord. 2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. 3 From the rising of the

sun unto the going down of the same the Lord'S name is to be praised. 4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high, 6 Who humbleth himself to behold the

things that are in heaven, and in the earth! 7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; 8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. 9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

6. Praising God in Tribulation Allows Him to

Comfort Us

2 Cor 1:3-4 (KJV) Blessed be God, even the

8. Praise Causes Us to Conquer

Psalms 47:1-6 (KJV) O clap your hands, all ye

people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. 2 For the Lord most high is terrible; he

is a great King over all the earth. 3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. 4 He shall choose

our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob

whom he loved. Selah. 5 God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. 6 Sing praises to God, sing

praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

Should Experience Through

Praise

1. We Should Experience A Polarized World.

Everything Lines Up For Us When We Praise Our God

Psalms 66:1-5 (KJV) Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: 2 Sing forth the

honour of his name: make his praise glorious. 3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto

thee. 4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah. 5 Come and see the

works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men

Psalms 67:3-7 (KJV) Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. 4 O let the nations be glad and sing for

joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. 5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people

praise thee. 6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us; and

all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Psalms 69:30-34 (KJV) I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. 31 This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs. 32 The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God. 33 For the

Lord heareth the poor, and despiseth not his

prisoners. 34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.

Psalms 103:19-22 (KJV) The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth

over all. 20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his

commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his

word. 21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. 22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the

Lord, O my soul.

Psalms 148:1-14 (KJV) Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2 Praise ye him, all his

angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. 3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. 4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 5 Let them

praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: 8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: 9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: 10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: 11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all

judges of the earth: 12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: 13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent;

his glory is above the earth and heaven. 14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the Lord.

2. We Should Experience Victorious Strength and

Power

Psalms 68:32-35 (KJV) Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah: 33 To him that rideth

upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty

voice. 34 Ascribe ye strength unto God:

his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds. 35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy

holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

Psalms 71:7-9 (KJV) I am as a wonder unto many;

but thou art my strong refuge. 8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day. 9 Cast me not

off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

Psalms 71:14-17 (KJV) But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more. 15 My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers

thereof. 16 I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy

righteousness, even of thine only. 17 O God, thou

hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

3. We Should Experience Deliverance Through

Praise

Psalms 86:12-14 (KJV) I will praise thee, O Lord

my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. 13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. 14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

Psalms 144:9-15 (KJV) I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. 10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword. 11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of

falsehood: 12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: 13 That our garners may be full,

affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: 14 That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.

4. We Should Experience Wisdom

Psalms 89:15 (KJV) Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall

walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.

5. We Should Experience Goodness Through Praise

Psalms 92:1-5 (KJV) It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy

name, O most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, 3 Upon an

instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. 4 For thou,

Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. 5 O

Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

Psalms 149:1-5 (KJV) Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto

the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. 2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the

timbrel and harp. 4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5 Let the saints be

joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

6. We Should Experience a Renewed Spirit Of Our

Mind

Eph 4:23-24 (KJV) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on

the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

7. We Should Experience The Anointing

Isaiah 61:1-3 (KJV) The Spirit of the Lord GOD is

upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to

preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent

me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim

liberty to the captives, and the opening of the

prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the

acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of

vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to

give unto them beauty for ashes, the

oil of joy for mourning, the garment of

praise for the spirit of heaviness; that

they might be called trees of righteousness, the

planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

8. We Should Experience Restoration Jonah 2:7-10 (KJV) When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. 8 They that observe lying

vanities forsake their own mercy. 9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed.

Salvation is of the Lord. 10 And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

9. We Should Experience Release From Bondage

Acts 16:25-26 (KJV) And at midnight Paul

and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto

God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And

suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that

the foundations of the prison were shaken: and

immediately all the doors were opened, and

every one's bands were loosed.

10. We Should Experience Victory Over Our Enemies

morning, and went forth into the wilderness of

Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood

and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of

Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall

ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye

prosper. 21 And when he had consulted with the

people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and

that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they

went out before the army, and to say, Praise the

Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever. 22 And

when they began to sing and to praise,

the Lord set ambushments against the

children of Ammon, Moab, and mount

Seir, which were come against Judah;

and they were smitten. 23 For the children

of Ammon and Moab stood up against the

inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and

destroy them: and when they had made an end of

the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to

destroy another. 24 And when Judah came

toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they

looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they

were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none

escaped. 25 And when Jehoshaphat and his

people came to take away the spoil of them, they

found among them in abundance both riches with

the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they

stripped off for themselves, more than they could

carry away: and they were three days in gathering

of the spoil, it was so much.
