Jean Francois Champollion – translator of Rosetta Stone (1822) just before Pearl of Great Price is translated by Joseph Smith

Antonio Lebolo – Italian archaeologist that discovered the mummies and records in the Valley of the Kings

Michael Chandler – claimed mummies and records. Had them shipped to New York. Started a travelling show that made its way to Kirtland, where Joseph Smith was given the opportunity to translate the records. Purchased the mummies and the records.
