DEATH DEFINED

Ecc 9:10  Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol (Hell/Grave), to which you are going.

NO KNOWLEDGE OF GOD IN DEATHPsalms 6:5   (ESV)For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise?

LIKE ANIMALS

"For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity. All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return."  Ecclesiastes 3:19-20

Soul just means LIFE

FOR YOU ARE DUST, AND TO DUST YOU SHALL RETURN.• Gen 3:19  By the sweat of your

face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

RESURRECTION CONCEPTIsaiah 26:19   (KJV)19  Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

RESURRECTION – COMING BACK TO LIFE

Joh 5:28  Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,Joh 5:29  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

RESURRECTION – WHEN?Act 1:9  And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.Act 1:10  And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes,Act 1:11  and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? JESUS WILL RETURN

 Mark 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. 27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

RESURRECTION AND REWARD OF ETERNAL LIFE

Dan 12:2  And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.Dan 12:3  And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

JUDGMENT

Rev 20:13  And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.Rev 20:14  Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.Rev 20:15  And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

SOUL IS PERMANENTLY DESTROYED IN HELL

Mat 10:28  And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

BEHOLD, I AM COMING SOON

Rev 22:12  "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.

ETERNAL LIFE - CONCEPTMen are NOT born immortal with an immortal soul

Eternal life needs to be attained!Eternal Death is the natural course!

Mat 19:16  And behold, a man came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?"

OBTAINING ETERNAL LIFEMat 19:29  And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.

Rom 2:7  to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;

Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

CHOOSE BETWEEN ETERNAL LIFE V/S ETERNAL DEATHJoh 5:24  Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

BAD PEOPLE GO TO HELL TO BE TORTURED FOR EVER WHEN THEY DIENo!

Judgment follows resurrectionNo resurrection = Your body and soul rot in Sheol for ever!

God will not torture a man for eternity! Even normal men will not punish people like that. Fire is an expression of everlasting destruction!
