The Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, established in 1861, is the only religious congregation founded in Kingston. The following Mission Statement and archival photographs illustrate the scope of the sisters compassionate service to the faithful of the Archdiocese of Kingston.

We, the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, are an apostolic congregation of vowed women religious

called to be channels of Gods Providence in the world through compassionate service in response to the needs of the times.
